The Backcountry Rookies podcast is another great option in the realm of hunting podcast to gain more knowledge and exposure on backcountry hunting from dudes who are humble and learning right along side of the listeners. Great subject matter expert guests along with hunting stories and gear reviews. Part of the sportsman’s nation of excellent podcast so if it’s been approved by Dan the nine fingered man you know it’s going to be good.

Love the podcast. Great information and I love the relaxed approach while sharing some great material for all levels. It’s been huge for me as I am experienced in Whitetails and midwestern whitetails, but elk hunting has begun to be another passion. Love taking in all I can. Keep it up!

I would just like to start by saying thank you. I live in a small town in upstate NY and I do a lot of hunting and fishing on my own land Deer,Bear, turkey ect. I think of my self as a pretty good outdoorsmen. so this year I’m turning 50 and my wife surprised me with my first elk hunt in Colorado this coming October I’m so excited but I didn’t know were to start or how to prepare for this one of a lifetime hunt. But after listening to your excellent podcast I think I’m a lot more prepared. So in closing keep up the great work and I wish you a safe and hopefully productive hunting season. 👍👍👍

Usually a good podcast with good topics and guests. Some episodes especially the newest one has very poor audio quality. It’s very frustrating to be listening to a story and have the guests cut in and out and barely be able to hear certain sections of the podcast.

Just getting started listening to this podcast, so I’m starting from the very first episode. These guys are doing a great job asking questions and sharing info for guys like me that are from Ohio and want to head west to backpack for western game. Looking forward to listening to all the episodes. Great job guys!
