Based on Stephen King’s 1983 novel of the same name, the stars Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Robert Prosky, and Harry Dean Stanton, and it follows the changes in the lives of Arnie Cunningham, his friends, his family, and his teenage enemies after he buys a classic red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury named Christine, a car that seems to have a mind of its own and a jealous, possessive personality, which has a bad influence on Arnie. In addition to the anniversary, the team kicks things off talking award season with the results of the National Board of Review, The Los Angeles Film Critics, The Astra Awards, and more!

BTTB Presents: Deep Dives - “Collateral"
In this latest episode of the Deep Dive spinoff, Gaius is joined by Dustin Rybka of the Sex Party podcast to discuss the 2004 film, Collateral. Directed by Michael Mann and written by Stuart Beattie, the film follows Max Duroucher (Jamie Foxx), a Los Angeles cab driver, and his customer, Vincent (Tom Cruise). When offered a high fare for driving to several locations, Max agrees but soon finds himself taken hostage by Vincent who turns out to be a hitman on a contract killing spree. Episode 135 - BTTB Presents: Merry Bingemas - “The Holdovers”
Back To The Blockbuster kicks off our new limited series, “Merry Bingemas”, in honor of the holiday season. The first film being covered is The Holdovers, directed by Alexander Payne and written by David Hemingson. Starring Paul Giamatti, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Dominic Sessa, the film is set in 1970 and follows a curmudgeonly history teacher at a New England boarding school who is forced to chaperone the handful of students with nowhere to go over Christmas break. In addition to discussing the film, the duo also talks Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving getting a sequel, the entire main cast of The Black Phone returning for the sequel, and the first trailers for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.

Episode 133 - Dallas Buyers Club - 10th Anniversary
The Back To The Blockbuster teams is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Dallas Buyers Club, the film that details the real life story of Ron Woodroof, a cowboy diagnosed with AIDS in the mid-1980s, a time when both etiology and the treatment of HIV/AIDS are poorly understood and its sufferers subject to stigmatization. Written by Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack and directed by Jean-Marc Valle, the story continues with Woodroff smuggling unapproved pharmaceutical drugs into Texas to treat his symptoms. Here, he distributes them to fellow people with AIDS by establishing the “Dallas Buyers Club”, all the while facing opposition from the FDA. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto, and Jennifer Garner. In addition to the 10 year anniversary of this acclaimed film, the team also breaks down trailers for Anyone But You, Madame Web, and Imaginary, while also discussing the news about a new Bourne being the works from director Edward Berger and Nicholas Hoult being cast as Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy. The duo also talks box office and gives their predictions for Ridley Scott’s Napoleon.

BTTB Presents: Deep Dives - “American History X”
In this latest episode of the Deep Dive spinoff, Gaius is joined by JC of @mercwiththemovies of Instagram to discuss 1998’s American History X. Directed by Tony Kaye and written by David McKenna, the film stars Edward Norton and Edward Furlong as two brothers from Los Angeles who are involved in the white power skinhead and neo-Nazi movements. The older brother (Norton) serves three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, is rehabilitated during this time, and then tries to prevent his brother (Furlong) from being idocrinated further. The supporting cast includes Fairuza Balk, Stacy Keach, Elliott Gould, Avery Brooks, Ethan Suplee and Beverly D’Angelo. Back To The Blockbuster is celebrating its two year anniversary and the team is ringing in the milestone by revisiting two films that each of the co-hosts once disliked. In one corner, Gaius didn’t care for the 2017 film Mother!, when he first saw the film in theaters. Directed and written by Darren Aronofsky, the film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, and Kirsten Wiig. In the film, a young woman finds her tranquil life with her husband at their country home is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious couple. In the other corner is Jackson, who didn’t care for the 2019 film, Us. Directed and written by Jordan Peele, the film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, Shahadi Wright Joseph, and Evan Alex. In the film, a woman and her family are attacked by a group of menacing doppelgängers. Will their minds change all these years later on their respective films? Before finding out, the duo covers a bit of news, most notably the ongoing issues with Marvel and their respective movies and TV shows.
