This interview was done out of studio with Kim Bryan, Executive Director of Rattle the Stars. She started this organization after losing her son to suicide to bring awareness and education to families and prevent other families from experiencing the trauma her family has faced. Using her education in Sociology, Kim has dedicated her time and energy to uplifting the community in central Illinois. During our talk Kim shares that suicide is the second leading cause of death in children, just behind accidental deaths. With suicide taking more lives than cancer and homicide in children, why do those issues get more awareness and funding than suicide education? We talk about the issues and we talk about compassion and care. Kim will teach you how to support children and adults who may be thinking about suicide. I also open up about my bout with suicidal thoughts while dealing with PTSD. As a survivor, I know that current suicide support isn't working, and I can tell you that what Kim is doing is exactly what our country needs. For the next two weeks, I am running a dual fundraiser to benefit Rattle the Stars and my campaign. Give double the money and we will split it down the middle. Thanks for listening and check out Kim's work at www.rattlethestars.orgDonate now to Kim and Crystal here. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

I recently sat down with author and hanged man, A.M. Pfeffer. In his new book, "Of, By and For the Hanged Man", he dives deep and shares the secret to truth. We must hang ourselves upside down and face our own contradictions to see our personal truth. He talks about our future as a human race and how our current systems are contributing to where we currently find ourselves. During the interview, we expand on his book, he asks me to share a few of my own contradictions, he asks me to share my vision for our country and then we wrap up with potential solutions for our country. Please enjoy this bonus interview. To find A.M.'s new book, "Of, By and For the Hanged Man" check out his website. You absolutely need to purchase his book today. Welcome back. I had a great conversation with author and Hanged Man, A.M. Pfeffer. We had a frank discussion about the Federal Reserve and other cogs in our wheel that make our lives go round. Like many hanged men, A.M. Pfeffer has a diverse background, including Mortgage Broker and Lender during our housing crisis and national recession. A.M. took the time to study his own contradictions as well as those in our American financial systems, a long with a few others he talks about in his new book, "Of, By and For the Hanged Man". Together, A.M. and I bring our critical eyes to the Federal Reserve. More questions than answers, it's always great to have truth seekers join me in the Treehouse. Find A.M. I always love week four of the month. This week I take a walk through blame, talk about Tax Solutions and somehow end up painting dicks on houses. It seems Americans get off on blaming or demonizing one another. We literally can't agree to disagree in this social media culture. Yikes! And where does it get us? Not anywhere near the truth or stewardship of our tax system, or democracy to be blunt about it. Solutions in this episode are less policy related and more focused on how responsible stewards of our country should be tackling the issues of a complex tax system, misuse of our tax dollars, and blame to be had on both sides of any one issue. If it were the military, We'd cite them for dereliction of duty. This one is a bit preachy because sometimes, mama's gotta spit truth. Engage, think about it and talk about it. These episodes are here to spark thought and questioning the world around us. We are taught a few things in life, but mostly, we are taught to accept things as they are. Every week, I will ask you to question why things are the way they are. Enjoy and share. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Welcome to week 2 of taxes. This week I'm talking about the money trail, and of course when we talk about money, we have to talk about who is spending the money. Our national budget is over $4,000,000,000,000! Yeah, they don't show you the zeros so you don't freak out, but you can totally freak out. We need good stewards of money when they are dealing with so much bank. Enjoy the show. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Hello friends. This week we dive into the history of our tax system. Did you know our independence started with a people's tax audit?? American colonists were being taxed by the British government without representation and they decided it was too much. Not only that, but they were enduring violence and suppression and were DONE! A lot of what the colonists experienced is what we are experiencing today. Do we have the power and organization to demand our rights as ONE Nation, ONE People?
