Happy New Year, mi gente! Let's kick-off 2021 (I know, technically I'm late buuuut hear me out!) with January's bonus episode on radical self-care. You heard the woman! As Angela Davis said, "anyone who is interested in making a change in the world has to learn how to care for himself, herself, theirselves".
You can't pour from an empty cup, and burnout is real. Take some time today after you sign up for the newsletter and work on building a personalised self-care practice using the 10-page Radical Self-Care Guide I created for our Self-care Fridays Newsletter earlier this month.

What's one thing you've been sitting on as you wait for perfection to give you the boost you need to get started? Sorry to say sweetie, but perfect ain't coming... you'll have to start without her!
November's Bonus Episode is all about shifting your perspective of what perfection looks so you can make the progress you want to make in your life. Hint: focus more on the journey and less on the destination. Aneakaleigh walks us through how the pandemic and her "progress over perfection" mantra helped her bring one of her main 2020 goals to life.
Ps. From now until 2021, Bacchanal Abroad will only be updated once a month for our bonus episodes. It's been a phenomenal year bringing you weekly conversations with Caribbean Millennials from across the diaspora about their travel stories and lives abroad! Thank you for your continued support and look out for new interviews next year!

When you live abroad, finding different ways to stay connected to your roots often involves reaching out to and building a community with others from across the diaspora. Bacchanal Abroad is a space for us to not only share the realities of what life abroad can look and feel like for Caribbean people, but also help us all stay connected and grounded in our identities while we figure out life in a completely different context.
Episode 21 of Bacchanal Abroad was recorded in early July 2020 and features a conversation between four Trinbagonians living abroad. A huge thank you to Jessie for making this possible and bringing us together in this space for such an enlightening conversation on:
our individual experiences living abroad during the height of the global pandemic
the Black Lives Matter Movement at home and abroad
navigating blackness in the USA
and so much more!
