89. Reconnecting to your purpose and authentic self after kids with Kellie Moses
In this week's episode we have the honour of chatting with the beautiful Kellie Moses, better known as Soul Healing with Kellie. We have an incredible chat about reconnecting to our sense of purpose, our feminine and ourselves after having babies. We discuss some common blockages or limiting beliefs that we may carry around with us preventing us from reaching our goals and desires. Kellie talks us through the process of womb spiral, womb clearing and reiki. We also do an amazing guided breath-work session towards the end of the episode - don't mind us breathing into the microphones!! If you want to learn more about Kellie and her amazing services, head to www.soulhealingwithkellie.com and check her out on instagram @soulhealingwithkellie Mum Life Moments: Emma's had a few violent encounters at the park with Blake. We're wondering when it's appropriate to intervene with kids?? How much spitting, kicking and hitting do you need to put up with before you tell them to piss off?? (Whoops, did I just say that out loud? Lol.) Hannah's had her first day with Eli in daycare and to say it was an emotional time would be an understatement. All the feelings and all the mum guilt, who is this transition harder on, the kids or the mums? Tune into this week's ep for all the details! Episode Sponsor: This week's episode is sponsored by Mother Nurture Hampers and Events. Making gifting to mothers easy, with a range of thoughtfully curated premium self-care products to promote self-love, healing, rest and relaxation. This beautiful small business has been built on the foundation of nurturing mothers with love and compassion, to validate and normalise the many ups and downs of motherhood – starting from pregnancy and birth, extending to the fourth trimester and beyond. Even as mothers ourselves, it can be really challenging to know what to get a fellow mama, especially something that is just for her and not 100% baby focussed. How many times do we just gift to the new baby rather than nurturing the Mama too? Let's normalise spoiling our fellow Mamas! They also have gifting options for mothers who experience grief and loss, to help them process their grief and heal. Additionally, they have a collection of beautiful, neutral gowns available to hire for as little as $30 for maternity and newborn photoshoots, and special events.  What better way to spoil yourself or a special mama in your life, than with a beautifully thoughtful gift from mother.nurture hampers and events. We're baaaaaaaccckkkk!! Did you miss us? We're SO excited to be here in 2023 with all of our amazing listeners! We're kicking off the year with a bang, with an episode we recorded whilst quite drunk on new years, interviewing (and fighting with) our Husbands Miles and Matt. We ask the boys all of your juicy juicy spicy spicy questions that you sent through last year and have a huge lol along the way. Outside of the hilarious content about what our most recent arguments were (which sparked new arguments while recording), what annoys us most about each other, sex lives and all the rest, Miles and Matt also share some personal and honest reflections on how Fatherhood has been for them. This is a great chat for Mum's and Dad's alike, and we hope you all enjoy this one! It feels good to be back!! Episode Sponsor: This week's episode is sponsored by the Slick Hair Company, An amazing brand offering hair care that is incredible and affordable and is helping mums everywhere combat postpartum regrowth and those pesky fly-aways. We love using the slick stick because it works a charm without making your hair hard or oily. Infused with jojoba oil and fruit extracts it nourishes your hair and easily brushes out at the end of the day. No need to wash it out because ain't nobody got time for that! The Slick Stick is vegan friendly and suitable for all hair types. Making you look more and more like a put together mum on the daily! And each stick lasts about 4-6 weeks if used every day.  Check them out on instagram @slickhairco, and head to their website slickhaircompany.com to make your order and use the code SLICKBABYBRAIN for a cheeky discount.

85. The Role of A Child & Family Health Nurse with Jess Rasho
Do you remember seeing a Child and Family Health Nurse after your bub was born? You might have known them as a Community Nurse, who set you up in your Mother's groups and did checks on bubs development. This is a service we are so incredibly lucky to have access to in Australia, and this week we are joined by Jess Rasho, a Child and Family Health Nurse and Mother of two! Jess tells us all about the role of a CFHN and how they are able to support families in a huge range of ways, ones that we didn't even know about! This is a must listen for anyone currently pregnant or with young children, it's packed full of information about local support services that could save you money and time if you ever need them. Here are some additional support services you might not have known a CFHN can provide: - Setting you up with discreet support in domestic violence situations - Organising migrant resources for families who speak little or no English - Linking up with services to provide goods for baby if you are under financial hardship - Some child and family health centres have qualified IBCLC's who can give you breastfeeding support and advice for free Jess also shared with us her birth stories, including her vaginal delivery of her 4.8kg son!! Who doesn't love a good birth story?? And wow! This one deserves a gold medal. Jess has a beautiful business @prettylittleblock.co offering hand cut and hand painted custom wooden block names. The business is currently on hold, but go and give her a follow and stay tuned for when she is back open!
