As you may have heard by now, last week Cycling Canada made the shocking decision to cut the women's team pursuit track cycling squad (one that has consistenly won medals at the Olympics and other international events) which has meant the team will not be going to this year's World Championships, a decision which has also meant there will be no team at the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA. On the flipside men's team has not been cut, and after the decision was made I reached out to one of the members of the women's team Fiona Majendie to chat about the decision.
