Bad habit is always there, people do them because it acts as an escapism for you, me, and everybody. This is my take on bad habits.

My impression on "discipline."

You Speak too Much. Period.   One of the worries that Non-native English speakers have, is that they're not speaking English fast (speed) enough.  The problem is, although they want to speak fast but they also want to speak in an accent.
