I was hooked after hearing the episode with Nicole Strait talking about the rural volunteer fire departments. I am myself in one and I was so happy to hear these struggles laid out there. Huge thank you for allowing her a platform to lay it out on.

Average Jake is a very knowledgeable podcast and being a firefighter/engineer/emt and soon to be b-shift ACO I have absorbed so much information on so many different levels after only listening to 15-20 episodes! This is a must listen for every fireman of all levels from rookie to chief! Thanks bro for the very important knowledge! Keep it up

Robbie Owens the host has hit on very hard to talk about topics. I was introduced by Chief Lamb to this podcast and after the first episode I binge listened to every episode available. Thanks to Mr. Owens for taking on and talking about hard topics and keeping it real for every topic. Big or small department this is a great podcast to listen to.
