Sadurn is a Philly based, indie folk band lead by songwriter Genevieve DeGroot. The band stopped by our studio to perform a few tracks off of their debut album Radiator released May of this year. This album is a raw and intense display of personal intimacy through the eyes of DeGroot and with the impressive support from their band members. The vulnerability in their lyrics and emotionality captured in instrumentation makes each song feel like a peak into someone’s late night musings or confessions from your best friend. Despite the deeply personal subject matter of each tune, the humanity in their songwriting can be felt and appreciated by anyone. Sham is the recording project & songs of Shane Justice McCord, often in collaboration with Mikey Powers and other dear friends. Sham’s third album Field of Vision Expanded was released in March 2022, recorded with a 16 track reel to reel in Asheville, NC throughout 2021, the music explores texture and density with entirely acoustic instrumentation. The live band has consisted of a rotating cast of members including Madeleine Sis, J Brown, Zoie Reamer, Helen Wells, Will Younts, and others touring across the USA and Germany with bands such as Animal Collective. They Are Gutting a Body of Water (abbr. TAGABOW) are a Philly based, noisy shoegaze band with obscure vocals and a massive stage presence. Despite the vocals having a feeling of living in the cracks of their forward moving instrumentals, the emotionality is not lost on anyone. Sometimes a track is lyrically confessional and poignant, other times, lacking any sense or meaning, and lead singer Douglas Dulgarian likes it that way. TAGABOW blends together everything you want from shoegaze, then heightens it with the strange and mysterious. BODEGA has been experiencing a meteoric rise after the pandemic forced founding members, Ben and Nikki, to regroup and expand both the band's membership and sonic pallet. Bodega's songs interrogate the external factors that make them who they are, propelling existential quandaries with tongue-in-cheek humor, highly personal lyrics, and irresistible grooves. Gabacho is a Chicago based, pop/surf rock project fronted by songwriter Siul Reynoso. Having spent his childhood in both Mexico and the United States, he’d often be referred to as ‘Gabacho’ by his peers which translates to ‘foreigner’ in English. His music is a testament to his journey through identity, belonging, and multiculturality, blending traditional Mexican elements (like Ranchera and Cumbia) as well west coast American lo-fi surf pop. Pascuala Ilabaca hails from Valparaiso, Chile and is a singer-songwriter with a unique and treasured voice in the Latin American and World Music scenes. In little over a decade, she has released six albums and performed on multiple world tours. She is known for her flamboyant and refreshing performances.
