I first tried TIDAL two years ago but didn't extend beyond the trial period due to an inability to play their 'high definition' MQA format.  Now, spurred on by a suspected weakness in Spotify's MP3 format, I return to TIDAL once more.

Audiophile reviews with a focus on affordable equipment that's within reach of the typical enthusiast.  Like most things in life, HIFI is susceptible to the diminishing law of returns when it comes to investment. Here I intend to focus where it matters; those crucial first steps in making music 'come alive', be it extracting the most from vinyl, or analysis of the latest high definition digital formats. I'll also include reviews of both new and old albums that stand out, both in terms of music and (re)production quality.
