Love it except the audio quality
Love the conversations from this podcast. There is lot of background noise/unfiltered fuzz that can make episodes hard to hear at times though. Other than that incredible conversations and interviews.

Informative & Fun
Great podcast. I’ve definitely learned something while listening to the episodes and what’s even better is that I’m not bored while listening. The hosts do a great job of integrating historical facts while talking about current events in an engaging manner. Fantastic listen.

Love tuning in to this podcast, I always end up learning way more about a topic that I thought I knew about.
They always come with a lot of background info and prepared. And their dynamic is funny AF.

Honestly, the Black August episode is now one of my favorite podcast episodes ever. Just listen and learn. Each episode is better than the last.

Know your History
I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to At the Intersection. To see where, why, and, how history, culture, and, policy intersect is thought provoking heartbreaking because people of color are typically impacted as a result. Marion and Brian are so knowledgeable and engaging about the topics they discuss. So glad to have this podcast in my queue, especially in these trying times when you need to keep yourself grounded and your mind sharp. (Tamu – Bad at Love Podcast)

My fave new podcast!
Marion and Brian do a wonderful job of providing the history and context on all of the issues they cover. As a person that has a soft spot for academia, I love that they aren’t afraid to nerd out and go into policy, but keep it exciting by linking real policy to pop culture and broader cultural references.

Timely and Timeless
Marion and Brian do a great job of informing and including the audience in on pertinent conversations. While Brian gives the history lesson, Marion does the application seamlessly.
BTW: I want my reparations in the form of college tuition for the 3 generations after me.

Quite literally outstanding.
“At The Intersection” is truly in a league of its own. Marion & Brian are thoughtful, insightful, and engaging, making them a true delight to listen to. Whether the topic is new or familiar to me, I find I am always learning something new, or a hearing a new perspective I hadn’t considered. Their intelligence and rapport makes this podcast an amazingly compelling listening experience.

Everyone should be listening
I love listening to Brian and Marion talk to each other. They really work well as a team. Their honest and intelligent conversations about race and racism are educational, entertaining and make me question my own biases and assumptions with each episode.

Press Play. Now.
Marion and Brian present a refreshing analysis of American culture with a healthy dose of humor and wit. They're not afraid to tackle complex issues (everything from gun control to reparations to how excellent Janelle Monae really is) while giving the listener space to check their assumptions and biases at the door and learn alongside them. Consider me hooked!

Thank you Brian & Marion!
"At the Intersection" is one of the most informative and engaging podcasts on issues pertaining to race, culture and public policy. I have learned new things from each episode, and I love how Marion and Brian manage to distill heavy, complex policies into conversations that anyone can engage in. I also love that Brian and Marion always keep. it. real. The episode "Guns, Race and Hypocrisy" had me reflecting on the very real impact that mass shootings had on my psyche as a child and adolescent. I appreciated that Marion & Brian were willing to open up about how they were personally impacted as well. Thank you Marion & Brian for keeping it real and for always creating such rich, educational and engaging episodes! What are you waiting for? Subscribe!

I learn something new every time!
Honestly, each episode is better than the last. Brian and Marion manage to cover a lot of ground, combining expert-level comprehensiveness with accessibility and emotional resonance. They bring rigorous analysis to topics I only ever thought about broadly (e.g., an economic analysis of the NCAA), and dynamism to topics I only ever thought about academically (e.g., a cultural deep dive into Equal Pay Day). I’m listening to this podcast constantly, and you should be too.

New listener
I’m woefully under-informed about all of the pop culture. Nope, I’ve never heard of that band, seen that movie, or heard of whatever person was in that show that I didn’t watch. I can’t go back in time and learn all the stuff about the 80s and 90s that I missed, so here I am learning about modern intersections of race, pop culture, policy and history from Brian and Marion. I heard the first episode today, and want you guys to know that you’ve got a devoted listener for as long as you all keep this going.

Love it!
Such a well organized and well thought out dialogue on various parts of American culture that aren’t typically part of the conversation but that are so important to understanding big issues like gun control
