On this episode, Joyann Oliver interviewed licensed Paralegal Nana A. Adjei-Poku. She is the founding partner of Infordus Legal Services. I am the founding partner of Infordus Legal Services. I decided to start my own business in 2018 after working in the public/private sector for 19 years. When I started out in 1999, I enrolled in Humber College’s Legal Office Administration course and obtained that certificate. My first job was working in TD Bank’s Legal Department as a legal assistant in the financial district. This position officially exposed me to the “legal world”. I then went onto work as a legal assistant in top Bay Street law firms which opened my eyes to wider horizons so I enrolled in Sheridan College‘s two-year law clerk program and became a law clerk specializing in Health Law (medical malpractice), Insurance Defence, Civil Litigation and Plaintiff Personal Injury (motor vehicle accidents and sexual abuse). I worked in this capacity for 10 years before landing a position as a at the Ministry of Attorney General - Crown Law Civil and subsequently Court Operations. In 2018, I became a licensed paralegal and decided to leave the workforce and open my own legal services firm.She specialize in the following areas: Human Rights, Small Claims Court, Immigration (IRB Appeals), Landlord & Tenant, Criminal and Records Suspension. Also, possesses a strong litigation background and handle all of my files with efficiency.
