RIP
This was consistently one of the best, most important, well-researched podcasts out there. It was a must-listen every week.
Unfortunately it really appears to be dead. They briefly tried a comeback this year, but there’s no hope. At a time when we need this podcast more than ever, it is MIA.

Always well researched and eye-opening. I appreciate the wide variety of topics and it’s always interesting to see how they are all interconnected. Anytime I see a shipping container I think of y’all.

Finally a podcast that has it’s priorities straight
I love this podcast, they do in-depth research into issues that actually matter and that most mainstreamed outlets ignore. I especially love the environmentally focused episodes. I would love to hear some episodes about animal agriculture, anarchy (The pirate episode almost touched on it) and consumerism. Keep up the great work!
Jawrighter
One of the most important podcasts around
Every episode is an impeccably well-researched, in-depth, intersectional examination of the most critical issues we are all currently facing. David and Daniel are candid about the research and yet never (well, hardly ever) descend into catastrophism, which would be easy to do when discussing such a range of truly bleak prospects. I appreciate how they end every episode with a bit about what we can do about these problems, and the way that they have an eye towards the vast wealth of informational resources provided by human history.
Some of the early episodes are VERY worth going back for, tackling some of the biggest things we all should be concerned about.

Important and compelling
These guys are talking about matters of life and death — of extinction and the collapse of civilization.
If you suspect someone is lying to you ... give a listen to these two articulate, well-sourced gentlemen. You’ll be better-informed for it — the minutes fly by — my new favorite podcast!!

Two smart young guys who read
And they don’t have an axe to grind. They just read up on a subject, glean what seems to be real about it, and present it to you directly in an unthreatening way. I totally recommend these guys.

My favorite podcast on air right now
These two hosts do a great job blending science, political philosophy, and environmental ethics to inform their thorough critic of status quo capitalism. I have found this podcast both informative and inspiring, which is hard to find in these complex times. I highly recommend it!

Thought provoking & well researched
The time and energy the hosts put into this show is a great service to us all. Systems thinking is the only way we’ll ensure that our children have a world to grow up in. I appreciate Daniel and David for helping to promote facing the truth and coming up with thoughtful, human-centered solutions.

Inspiring and well researched series
David Torcivia and Daniel Forkner deliver on all levels with their outstanding Ashes Ashes podcast.
Focussing on systemic issues of our times, they put an impressive amount of research into each and every episode, steering a well needed spotlight on topics that affect each and every one of us on a daily basis. While every single episode alone is profound, the mosaic that comes to life after listening to them back to back is stunningly addictive and inspirational. Add to that transcripts of each installment and links for intensified research into the specific topics, it's safe to say that these guys come out guns blazing and are very serious about their work.
Ashes Ashes easily is my favorite podcast right now, haven't been that excited since Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History and Peter Agoston's The House List series.
