The Verdant Maw: A Green Inferno

Audio Codex Entry XXV

Deep within AshenReach lies the Verdant Maw, a primordial jungle where death is not an ending, but nourishment.

From the black docks of Veinport, the Aortic River winds north through the Orchid Graves and Orovaya, past the Titan Graves, Sepulchral Bloom, Temples of the Jade King, and the Resin Jungle before reaching the scorched Cinderwilds beneath Embercrown.

Dinosaurs and forgotten beasts roam beneath its canopy. Ancient civilizations vanish beneath root and resin. The OroVaya have learned not to conquer the jungle, but to bargain with it.

Yet beneath the Maw, the roots all seem to grow in one direction.

Toward the mountain.

Perhaps Embercrown does not sustain the jungle.

Perhaps the jungle sustains it.

Ashenborne Archive is a dark fantasy universe exploring the creatures, civilizations, relics, horrors, and forgotten histories of AshenReach through cinematic lore, the Audio Codex podcast, and a physical trading card game.
