In today's episode, let's talk about "That Girl!" She's a recent trend on social media, but she's also represents the IT girl, the girl we all secretly want to be. She has the best outfits, the cutest shoes, she wakes up easily at 5 am and works out 4-5 times a week. She's mindful - she meditates and journals. She's popular - she has the prettiest and coolest friends.  Being "That Girl" is an impossible standard. No matter how much we try, let's be real - perfection is an impossible standard to meet.  So in today's episode, let's talk about why I don't want to be "That Girl" and instead, I want to be a different type of girl. A girl who is kind, considerate, and loves God. A girl who is intentional in her friendships, her prioritizes healing and loving others. In this week's episode, I talk about my own personal testimony dealing with body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and my path to recovery. From age 12/13 to age 18, I struggled with disordered eating and I still struggle with body dysmorphia to this day.  This week's episode was a hard one for me to record, but it was also a very healing + monumental episode in my own personal life. For a while, I felt shame and guilt talking about my body struggles, eating disorder or lacking self confidence, but as I've grown confidence in Christ, I've slowly been freed from the shame/guilt that silenced me to talk about this before.
