A reading of "Rama and the Demon King" by Kay Umansky and Helen Macgregor. Performed by the Desert Sands Community School 4/5 Fine Arts class. This is an adaptation of the ancient Indian epic poem Ramayana, which tells of the god-king Rama's struggle to rescue his wife, Sita, from the demon Ravana. Rama's return from exile after defeating Ravana is the basis of the Hindu holiday Diwali.
