Taylor Bourassa runs a private practice – Wellness Grove Therapy: created with a vision of integrating art, nature and typical talk therapies as a way to provide a more holistic approach to therapy and well-being. Taylor works from a person-centered and humanistic framework, inside of which she introduces different modalities that may help you get at the core of why you are coming to therapy. These include: existentialist, psychodynamic, mindfulness and self-compassion based and depth/analytical. Taylor works with children, youth and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, self-esteem or body image issues; and those who are seeking a deeper understanding of life’s big questions and their own spirituality. She is also an avid writer and artist herself, and has recently self-published a journal full of prompts to encourage readers to strengthen their relationship and connection to the natural world. It can be found on Amazon, in paperback and hardcover, and is titled "Your Nature Journal: Connecting with nature through art, prose and mindfulness." She also has her own column in the Canadian Art Therapy Association's Online magazine "Nature's way" where she shares with readers prompts and invitations for mindfulness and connection with the natural world and art. Connect with Taylor through her website at wellnessgrovetherapy.com. She runs virtual groups in addition to individual therapy, and loves talking to others about what she does. She also has spoken with a number of people about why to study or practice art therapy, and how to explore their options if they live in Canada.
