On Episode 9 of Around the World, we are joined by the next up-and-coming American soccer star. We delve into his decision to forego college and pursue his dream of becoming a pro. He signed for NYRB II in 2021 and had a breakout season, leading the team in interceptions, tackles, tackles won, duels won, and passes. He signed a homegrown contact this year and hasn’t looked back since, solidifying himself as a first team player. He was a leader on the historic US U-20 National Team, getting the captain’s armband a few times en route to qualifying for the World Cup and Olympics (for the first time since 2008!).

On Episode 8 of Around the World, the boys dive deep into forming this show’s first-ever World Best XI for the 2022/23 season. With high profile transfers and the World Cup to think about, we had our hands full crafting our team. Highlights include our bold backline decision, what it means to be a modern 6, and choosing from a handful of stars to make our front 3.

On Episode 7 of Around the World, Dylan and Anthony are joined by Richard Glemawu, a Right to Dream Academy product from Acra, Ghana. After graduating, he came to South Kent High School in Connecticut where he made his mark and won a National Championship in 2015. We talked about what it takes to build a successful soccer brand and the importance of giving back to the communities that made you. The boys introduced a new segment called “Transfer Ticket,” where we graded the signings of major stars like Lewandowski, Koulibaly, and Sterling. We also handed out some worthy awards this week.

On Episode 6 of Around the World, Dylan and Anthony are joined by Daniel Nesseler, Bayer Leverkusen Academy and German Youth National Team star. He captained the national team as well as current superstars including Kai Havertz of Chelsea FC. He walked us through his magical Euro Qualification cycle in 2015 that booked Germany a ticket in the youth World Cup, which brought him up against fierce competition such as Upemecano and Konate of France. He shares his journey through the professional ranks in Germany and how he ended up at Drexel University where he currently plays. The boys also discuss the woes of UEFA Super League being discussed again as well as whether Dortmund can catch Bayern this upcoming season!

On Episode 5 of Around the World, Dylan and Anthony are joined by Kevin Miller, Head of Strength and Conditioning at Villanova University and formerly at Philadelphia Union in the MLS. Kevin discusses a plethora of ways to maximize potential as an athlete. We explore not only the standard training methods, but various alternative methods to gain an edge, such as breathing, nutrition, meditation, and recovery techniques. After chatting with Kevin, the boys give their winners and losers of the week - discussing the success of the US youth national team and the ever changing transfer landscape in Europe.

On Episode 4 of Around the World, Dylan and Anthony are joined by Chris Donovan. After slipping through the cracks in college recruitment, Chris proved he was ready for the next level in his 4 years at Drexel, capping off his career winning the CAA Player of the Year. He joined Philadelphia Union 2 in the MLS Next Pro league and moved up the depth chart rapidly, making his MLS debut for the first team on June 18th.
