Anything Goes
Anything Goes
Filippo Spreafico
Part a one-man variety radio show, part an attempt at creating a coherent podcast, Anything Goes is populated by a wild array of characters, strange adverts, dubious guests, and forgettable history lessons. Hosted and performed by comedian Filippo Spreafico. Full episodes with music can be listened on https://www.filippospreafico.net/anythinggoes A strangely entertaining hour - The Scotsman
Anything Goes #2 S.2
Is solstice a spice? In this episode, holistic comedian Filippo Spreafico is joined by Dutch-Javanese enthusiast Paolo Tack and actress and ventriloquist Lena Stolby in what can now be considered the best triad of online radio entertainment. In it, they trace the collapse of society, which begun with the disappearance of indoor columns to sustain roofs designed by pretentious children. Celebrating the birth of Mata Hari, who was not the same woman as Marylin Monroe, the audience is reminded that a tree is almost never aware of becoming a desk. Sponsors flocked in this episode reaching our target audience of kitchen dwellers and people who take the blame. A fun way to receive medical trials meets the (luckily!) bygone problem of having to wear shirts at the office. Distributors did their best to remove the letter B and the number 4 from the show . This is the finest work of audio art you will ever find, no pressure. Discovery takes time and effort.

Daniel Defoe's invention of King Kong, systems of reflecting mirrors and most importantly that #cleopatradidntkillherself are other topics covered. This episode contains maieutic.

Anything Goes #42 S.1
The last episode of anything goes starts and ends in silence. This is the last episode of season 1, and plans for the second season are underway, so far tentatively called "season 3". In "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" it is speculated that objectivity is equal to number 42, therefore questioning the supposed objectivity of the concept of objectivity. This is why we believe that this episode (number 42) is the most subjective of all episodes of Anything Goes. This episode explores The Barber of Seville as the last comedy show ever performed over 200 years ago, right before lockdown. Additionally, we explore the foundation of the city of Canberra, the soon-to-be capital that was unbeknownst to itself, as Canberra believed that Sydney was the capital, belief held by the majority of the world population, only for Canberra to be coming unprepared to the capital inauguration ceremony, which was held in Brisbane. All sentimentality aside, this was probably the most heart-wrenching goodbye ever transmitted on any live broadcast. This episode contains the letter 'S'. Anything Goes #41 S.1
This week’s episode reflects on the ancient technique of using bottled sparkling water to make coffee. Galileo Galilei, one of the most famous astrologers to face the Inquisition, did not die for his ideals, and we support his lack of bravery. A study on the new app Clubhouse reports that men have the right to access skincare products, in an effort to strengthen gender equality. While flat Earth supporters are easily made fun of, their cause might as well be connected to how flat, as in boring, life for some has become. This episode contains a cover version of an unremembered song. Full episode here: https://www.mixcloud.com/THFRadio/anything-goes-41-w-filippo-spreafico-130221/

Anything Goes #40 S.1
Episode 40 is about new beginnings, and how to avoid them. Millions and millions and millions of months ago, a graffito indicating the first testimony of a day of the week was discovered, but the news reached us only on Wednesday. Needless to say, check the calendar to know when a day starts. François Truffaut, on top of being an apt cheese maker and wine taster, was the direct descendant of a large family of truffles who had a penchant for the French New Wave; closely related to (or: cousin of) a cardiologist, not much more is known about him, or her, or about anybody really. On the net, new artists are criticizing AI by comparing it to silverware, which back in the days was "equally frightening". This episode also deals with the thorny topic of pineapple on pizza: how to cut the pineapple in centimetres, and not in inches? Anything Goes #39 S.1
In this episode, Filippo Spreafico tackles the philosophical foundations of Anything Goes, and the ones connected with rental agreements. Trust is the most important element of evolution, the one that liberates us from our otherwise beastly background; this is why many people prefer to create smart contracts through automated mechanisms. Baron Samedi is an important element of syncretism, and just like when John Lennon asked the audience if they liked the music he had just played, we are stunned to discover that most realities are a compromise, or at best a miscommunication. In episode 39 (a rather underwhelming number), it is contended that most people can at best draw a square, and rarely a triangle. This episode contains a few starter packs to finish nothing. Anything Goes #38 S.1
Episode 38 celebrates all forms of life, living and not-living. The Stendhal syndrome is useful to remind us of the emotions we are not living anymore, while we discover that back in the days, emperors elected 8 years old co-emperors that knew very little about empires. While investing in cryptocurrencies can surely help us to live in the present, some artists have discovered that it might be within their power to sweep away the desert with a small broom to serve their cosmopolitan ambitions. Meanwhile, some companies have begun to distill the sweat of air passengers who were denied boarding to make an anti-quarantine ointment. Despite the presence of electricity, this episode was brought to completion. This episode contains random explosions. Anything Goes #37 S.1
Alongside Filippo Spreafico, this week's episode features expert Paolo Tac, who recently survived a photoshoot with Ronald Reagan and Stevie Wonder; the latter came out best in the picture, because he is best observed when he is not observing, as quantum physics teaches us. In this episode, we confront the hot topic of the dictatorship of numbers, but not the transmigration of the soul. With the publication of Don Quixote, Miguel 'soy me' de Cervantes gave birth to the city of Madrid, from which all roads lead to Rome. Again and again, and we won't be able to stress this enough, the blame is on dinosaurs. This episode contains straws.Full music episode here: https://www.mixcloud.com/THFRadio/anything-goes-37-w-filippo-spreafico-expert-paolo-tac-1612021/

Anything Goes #36 S.1
The first Anything Goes of the year celebrates all good things from last year, namely Ciao2020, the Italian-spoken Russian TV show that formally annexes Italy to Russia and vice-versa. Host Filippo Spreafico is joined by Lena Stolby to analyse and promote Ciao2020, which the two see as the finest work of contemporary art of their lifetime. Anything Goes #35 S.1
In this special episode of Anything Goes, Filippo Spreafico is joined by his mother and grandmother to remind each other that they all are fictional characters playing themselves around a round table, yet some give birth to children. Grandma was born on a chair, while mom hopes that in the future more babies will be born at home, in the safety of known mortgages. When life runs through you, what else can you do than to accommodate it? This and many more questions will not be answered in this episode, which contains walnuts.
