I'm so excited to share an interview I did with Reece Anderson from @we_overcomeanything. Reece and I met at Toastmasters a few years ago. He's honest, open and just an all-round awesome human. In this episode he talks about his mental health challenges from crippling anxiety, tics and depression. He also discusses the moment he decided enough was enough & shares what he believes are the gifts of anxiety.
Today, Reece is a Dad, works in mental health as a Youth Peer Worker, Coach and also manages the We Overcome Anything Facebook page (a free space for anyone wanting some extra support & inspiration). Trigger warning: We discuss suicide in this episode. If this episode brings up any issues for you or you feel you could benefit from extra support, I highly recommend chatting to your GP or calling Beyond Blue (for Aussie listeners) on 1300 22 4636.

In today's episode I chat to my best friend Tacye. She's experienced generalised anxiety from quite a young age, however was not officially diagnosed until her early twenties. She says a 'fuck you' to medication stigma, talks about how she's learnt to better understand her anxiety and also shares the tools and resources that have most supported her on her journey. The purpose of this episode is to share a real-life experience of living with anxiety. We want you to know you're not alone and having anxiety is nothing to be ashamed about. If this episode brings up any issues for you or you feel you could benefit from extra support, I highly recommend chatting to your GP or calling Beyond Blue (for Aussie listeners) on 1300 22 4636.
