Podcast: Our podcast is a talk about the age old border claims of Antarctica and how they are becoming increasingly important today. In this episode we go over the initial history of Antarctic border claims as well as the formation and early years of the Antarctic Treaty of 1959. 54 countries participate in this treaty today and it has been one of the most successful and peaceful international treaties of all time. However, global warming and other factors threaten this peace, which is another focus of our podcast. Please tune in and learn about this age old but increasingly relevant conflict.
