Are we so afraid of hurting people’s feelings that we’ve stopped telling each other the truth?

In this episode of Road to Victory, I reflect on the difference between being nice and being kind. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is have the uncomfortable conversation, set the boundary, or tell someone what they need to hear instead of what they want to hear.

I also share how growing up as one of six children shaped my life. My mother worked hard, and because she couldn’t be everywhere at once, my friends became another source of accountability. Looking back, I realize those friendships helped shape the man I’m becoming.

We discuss:

  • Why kindness without honesty can keep people stuck
  • The difference between compassion and people-pleasing
  • Why healthy boundaries are an act of love
  • How accountability changes the direction of your life
  • The influence friends have when you’re growing up
  • Why your circle can either protect your future or slowly destroy it
  • Becoming the kind of friend who tells the truth with love

Sometimes the greatest blessing God gives you isn’t an opportunity.

Sometimes it’s a friend who refuses to let you stay the same.
