Tides
Tides
Theatre of Diversion
Tides traverses online and physical mediums to immerse audiences in Townsville's hidden past and envisioned future. Set in 2075 - as digital experience drowns out the physical - preservation of the past is seen as only a hindrance to progress. But when a heart gets broken that suddenly, it’s not that easy to just let the past disappear. Resisting the filtered virtual mainstream, one researcher attempts to work through their own spectacular crash-on-the-rocks. Immersed among the long-forgotten relics at the bottom of the ocean, they are tossed a lifeline, but have they learned from the past?
Episode 6 - Finale
Theatre of Diversion respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the unceded land upon which we live and create, the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and are deeply honoured to learn and share in their stories on this spectacular country. We humbly acknowledge the neighbouring groups of the Townsville district and the custodianship of Indigenous people around the world as we develop our global creative practice.
