After Control Spires started popping up across the globe, the DigiDestined embarked on a “world tour” of sorts to set things right. To avoid an international incident, and an oddly sexy Santa, we’re gonna go ahead and skip that part entirely. Instead, we’ll dive like Submarimon straight into the endgame of Digimon Adventure 02. Yukio Oikawa, the enigmatic human who commands Arunkenimom and Mummymon, has kidnapped a group of children to enact the final stage of his evil plan. Before the DigiDestined can intervene, the demonic Daemon attacks Japan. Our heroes are forced to fight harsher battles than ever before, as good and bad Digimon defeated in the Real World don’t get do-overs. In the chaos, the shadowy power that drives Oikawa comes into focus. As their enemy’s malice threatens to destroy both worlds, will the DigiDestined find the strength to face their fears and embrace their dreams? Remember to properly dispose of your Dark Spores and invest in noodles as Anime Was (Not) A Mistake: Prodigious Summer comes to an end.
