Last time on Digimon Adventure 02, the new DigiDestined found their groove and defeated the Digimon Emperor. Their next mission is to help the Digital World recover from the emperor’s short but destructive reign. Thankfully, with the Dark Digivice out of the picture, their partner Digimon can now access Champion level. Meanwhile, former emperor Ken Ichijouji faces his demons as he starts the long road to redemption. The same mysterious individual that once manipulated Ken dispatches two villainous Digimon, Arukenimon and Mummymon, to enact the next phase of his plan. Arukenimon has the abnormal ability to transform Control Spires into Digimon, which she uses to create the nigh-unstoppable BlackWarGreymon. With the fate of the Real and Digital Worlds hanging in the balance, the DigiDestined will have to trust in their bonds and face this new evil together.
