Been feeling very depressed in pain very stiff my story is I got this because of having cerebral palsy since birth diagnosed with joint disease at 41 54 now medication no longer works read about injections trying to get an urgent care orthopedic appointment was told a month or so by telemedicine doctor to get injections or total joint replacement will try injections first can barely sleep I don’t go out anymore glad I found your podcast I feel like you angry at arithris I had been doing ok until 2012 I did use a wheelchair to go out meds worked until around 2021 or so hopefully I can at least get injections they don’t last long maybe 6 months I’d take it though

I just found out about angry@arthritis in a online search ha. i have already been looking online and reading about breakthroughs, mice, dogs, soon, hope. thank you for taking this on! i just started listening to your podcast and i am cracking up so thank you for the lol also. funny, i had the kind of same beginning exp as you did: I was sent the bad news via mychart grrr. i contacted my pretender <ahem> primary healthcare person and on the phone she said, i can refer you to an ortho. i just found out that 1 year after i told this other doctor about groin area pain, he does nothing and now 1 yr later i have “severe” osteoarthritis! i ask her, in a year?? i told her i just want to talk to someone first before i set up an appt. i just want to talk about the disease because i knew in an appt i would get little time for that. And then nothing. seriously, talking/questions are verboten i guess. omg so i could relate to your seeing an ortho, getting the news and then pretty much crickets, you are on your own. so thank you for your osteoarthritis anger! i appreciate it.
