I found this interesting for awhile, but as time goes on, I have to agree that it is not really supporting truth and independence. The endless bashing of RFK, Jr. is especially tiresome and one has to wonder whether Paul had ever listened to his podcast or any of his interviews or speeches. I'm not a die-hard Kennedy supporter by any means, but he is not a crackpot like the uniparty and corporate media make him out to be in support of the endless government and corporate lies and corruption. His podcast has some really interesting guests and is not about his campaign. Maybe Paul needs to check it out rather than just follow the mainstream if he's truly interested in independence/independents.

I enjoyed a few episodes and a few guests, namely the episode with Andrew Yang. But, I would never consider him an Independent. His views are very biased Left-leaning, with the only criticism of Biden/Dems being “bad messaging”. And that’s fine. But be truthful, just say you’re a centralist- minded Democrat, don’t disguise it as “Independent”. This podcast could have some interest and value if it was designed truly for independent voters, but it’s not. It’s just another obvious leftist take on everything.

I saw the host on msnbc and he seemed direct. However this podcast is dramatic and cheesy and fluffy.

Paul is a critical voice giving the Country a perspective it gets nowhere else. We as a nation must listen to the voices of reason regardless of party affiliation

Fabulous episode that brought tears several times…especially when you reminded us of how great a man John McCain was. As a proud daughter of a 23 year Navy veteran who served in both WWII & the Korean War it disgusts me what Senator Redneck is doing to degrade our beloved military. Thankfully he’s not my Senator, but what can we the people do in protest? Lastly, of course I cried listening to Empty Sky. I love your pod and seeing you on Deadline White House.

Was very interested in these analyeses until the host kept repeating that Democrats and Republicans are equally corrupt. The last few years would indicate otherwise.

This is the best I have found for an independent political podcast. Good guests, reasonable production value. I listen to every episode, but I’m also still searching for other sources. I’m glad you recognize it is “none of the above” for independents. But this week’s monologue was a full on apology for Democrats. No where near “none of the above.” By the sound of it, Rs have all the stupid, and all the stuff we need to be scared of, and Ds just have a branding problem? Come on. You may need to lean conservative to be afraid of Ds, but it is not that hard to find stupid. Please try to balance your criticisms.

UPDATE: The show does continue to excel but the last two weeks with Professor Cirincione and Malcolm Nance as a pair are great analysis and predictions of the Ukraine war. Always appreciate the independent streak here. Tightening up the openings means it’s easier to listen to. The guests and Paul’s ability to get real information (“light over heat”) from them is laudable.

This is a great show for political Independents. I found the show a few months ago and it’s one of my favorite podcasts. There’s no spin from the 2 party system. Just great guests, interviews, and independent insights about this country and where we’re headed. I highly recommend this show.

As an Iraq veteran myself, I was vaguely aware of IAVA and Paul, but it wasn't until the past few weeks that I really paid attention and got spun up on all the good being done. I appreciate this podcast because Paul's analysis, perspective and articulation hit right in that sweet spot between freedom, responsibility, and humanitarianism - all reasons I joined after 9/11. Politics in this country has deteriorated to a bewildering state where it's easy to think the crazies outnumber everyone else on all sides. Luckily though, as the old cadence says, "...I finally found a home..." the first time I listened to Independent Americans. Thank you for carving out this space.

Downloaded the episode to listen to his interview with Christine Todd Whitman. Glad he got the explanation of the Forward Party goals that he had been searching for. Really liked the soccer team analogy. I appreciate that there are podcasts speaking to the issues that non-partisan voters care about. Best of luck to you, sir!

Over the last couple of years I have had the opportunity to listen to most of his podcasts. I really appreciate the attention Paul pays to specific veterans and our issues. I am proud to say that I have known PJ since 2004 and he has advocated as much for us older Vietnam veterans as he does for those of his generation. His weekly podcasts always gives me time to reflect on opportunities he provides to become a “helper” in our great country. 🇺🇸. Thank you for your work advocating for your fellow veterans as an independent thinker.

Michigan basically has on open primary. All parties on on the ballot. You simply decide which party to support. No need to be a registered party member. Just be registered to vote.

Paul isn’t afraid to confront us with the hard decisions that we need to make as a nation and as individuals. He is a truth teller and his philosophy— look for the helpers can guide us in difficult times.

I really wish you’d let your guests finish their sentences, so many times you’ve had someone point out a flaw in your framing and you just roll right over them. Love the pod man, but Malcolm was spot on that Biden has been shouting from the rooftops about Ukraine for months now.

Paul brings a uniquely balanced view point discussing events happening in America. He is veteran, which clearly shapes some of his perspective but he isn’t the stereotypical “veteran” instead he speaks very much like the veterans that are my friends and family, straight forward, realistic and with a call to action. This is not a partisan podcast, extremes on either politics side will be offended from time to time.

For the past year I have enjoyed listening to Paul and the many outstanding guests he brings in for outstanding conversations on relevant topics - reminding us all to be vigilant, which is the price for democracy. I have never met Paul (some day I hope to), but I feel like we have been best pals for years. His guests are not policy wonks although some have served in developing and implementing policy. On the contrary, they are well-informed citizens making a difference and serve as outstanding role models for all of us. Whether they have served in government, toured with a band, or starred in award-winning shows and movies, Paul’s guests are the people we should all listen to. Do yourself a favor and click “Subscribe”. If you are an independent-minded person like me, you will not be disappointed.

It’s like having a beer with a buddy, discussing the issues of the day,. Paul has a no nonsense, pragmatic approach to today’s political climate. He doesn’t jump on the bandwagon of trendy, popular political opinions. Paul observes political issues from all sides, respecting each person’s views in the process. His political pragmatism , coupled with his exemplary efforts for veterans are the reasons I greatly admire & respect Paul. For those of us who are having seizures, can not lift our arms, have reoccurring headaches, inflamed heart myocarditis, or those who are dead after this shot, we have learned a hard lesson. VAERS. Never heard of it? That is intentional. There is nothing Independent about this podcast. It is corporate drivel disguised as patriotism. Men and women who have served in the military and return all messed up, sick, destroyed from exposure to contaminants and other severely toxic substances can not even get the VA to acknowledge our/their illnesses. This podcast is an insult to critical thinking, and an example of brainwashing in its most pernicious form because it is disguised as patriotism. Disgraceful. This podcast is not left wing because there is no left or right wing. Corporations run our government, tv etc cable network sells the propaganda they want us to believe, ppl like identify with a “journalist” aka tv personality, and we all get dumber and more divided each day. Deeply sad.

I am sorry. I loved the show from the start. But I just can’t listen to you rant about Afghanistan yet again. I get it. I understand it. I lived it. But move one. It is over. I will check in periodically and see what you are doing, but put the rage down. Love the show. Keep the rage, but move on.

This podcast community is not the type of “terrorist Jan 6th” vibes I was expecting. Due to all the events and unfortunate happenings going on in America right now, being patriotic has been tainted by closed minded and hateful people. I felt as if I couldn’t be a Proud American or associate myself with my military background. Or even be grateful to be an American at all because I didn’t want to be labeled as a racist or bigot, but i’m none of those things and Paul (and his guests) has made me realize that. We are all here to unite, love, and speak up about human rights. This podcast gave me hope for our country as well as a voice to speak up about it. 11/10

This is a great podcast. If you’re looking for thoughtful discussion you will likely enjoy this podcast. However, if you’re looking for an echo chamber of one-sided opinion, this show probably isn’t for you.

Newer to the podcast, last 8 months, and its quickly become one of my favorites. Paul presents information in a very unique way and is always mindful of the bigger picture. I think Paul is an important independent voice that represents more Americans than we realize. It’s not all Republican and Democrat, there is a whole nation in between those two.

Paul I am a huge admirer / fan of your podcast - please keep it frosty. I would to here your opinion on the following statement - which I wrote the day after the first presidential debate; “In the wake of the first presidential debate I will have to conclude that Trumps despicable behavior is in fact surrendering America’s status as the defecto leader of the free world of western democracies. The winner of last nights debate is clearly the authoritarian advisories of America. A very sad day for democracy.” No one in their right mind can expect our allies around the world to fully trust America after Trumps incoherent, horrendous, degrading and in dignified display. I would even go as far as to say that his performance pose a huge risk - in my mind he has given license to authoritarian “governments” to do pretty much what ever they like. But the mayhem of Trump that culminated 1/6/2021 has left me in disbelief. The day 1/3 of us feared, 1/3 of the country watched in disbelief and sadly 1/3 of the country hoped for. Where do we go from here - hopefully forward. But there have to be consequences, there have to be some soul serious soul searching. The key in my mind is we as a country have to move on from entitlement and self pity and whining, which these day seam to be a prerequisite for the majority of republican politicians. I always learn something interesting and valuable. Subjects are timely. And there is always a positive message to take away. Paul is an independent voice that I seem to agree with on most things. Most importantly, he is a voice for veterans and puts so much of his energy into supporting them and speaking up for them. I respect this enormously.

Dumbest political analysis I’ve ever heard.

Guy claims to be an independent but he’s a conservative who wants to lecture leftists. Paul is a former army officer and after listening to him talk for five minutes I’m not surprised we lost the war.

I generally find myself much farther left than the host, but I appreciate the perspectives and the general even handedness of the discussions.

This podcast has so much potential but ultimately it falls short. Paul brings a much needed centrist/independent perspective to a nation that is awash with partisan extremes on both sides. However, the length and repetitiveness of the dialogue along with the constant music samples is too much to take. I really want to love this podcast, maybe I’ll give it a second chance in a year or two after he’s refined his craft or found a good producer to rein him in.
