I gave up social media for a little bit and fell in love with podcast. Angie Martinez interviewing Angela Simmons was the first podcast I watched on my TV. Prior to that I would watch them on my phone. It was something about having Angie on my television. I felt like she was in my living room. It was almost as I was sharing space with her and Angela. Since then I have watched almost every IRL interview “What have I been missing” I asked my friends. Real people, real interviews, sharing their truth. It’s been a joy. Angie been that girl since I was a kid. I look forward to these interviews. I may never go back to Facebook or IG 😂. Keep up the good work Angie

I infrequently write reviews for podcasts, but a day later after listening to the NORE episode, I am still moved. Excellent work and thanks for showing the audience another side of him.

Angie is already a og in this arena but the pod is so beautiful. Her guests are all from different industries, she’s not spreading gossip and the interviews are always positive.

Every interview has made me dig deeper within myself. Although, all the episodes are good. I truly enjoyed Luenell. She was real, raw, edgy with her natural flair of humor. I find myself constantly replaying her interview. Angie Martinez does such a great job at guiding conversation. She produces authentic dialogue while also respecting boundaries.

I love this podcast! I’m a journalism teacher in GA. Listening to Angie is a master’s class on interviewing. She is naturally curious and intuitive which makes ordinary questions, an insightful conversation

You got very much SOMETHING here Ms. Angie! When I listen to this podcast it feels like organic therapy for the industry. The guest have all seemed to be very forthcoming about their experiences that I feel really allows your listeners to humanize these celebrities in ways that other media platforms rob them of. I appreciate all the gems that are dropped the vulnerability that is shared ALL of It! Just from listening to a few episodes I’ve found interest in artist like Money Bag that I didn’t have prior to the episode. I was like see now I gotta hear his mixtape and also his previous work. This podcast really crushes the perception is reality stigma that today’s society consistently pushes as an agenda. Keep going, keep holding space for your guest to have a safe space to be their authentic self. You continue to hold the crown as the voice of New York, and I love that for you ❣️

Angie’s interviews are like two friends having a normal conversation. Talking about real life topics with high profile people. You feel like you’re sitting at the table with them. You can relate. I love the authenticity and listening to Angie navigate her own personal growth. I needed a podcast that held space for the REAL! Love it.

I been looking for a podcast that I at 45 can relate to and this is powerful. Each pod cast has made me feel better about the trials and tribulations that I have went through and the space that I am in now through my journey. Thank you for showing real life when the world only see reels of the good life.

The episode with Kim K was interesting because of Kim, not the host. The host seemed flustered, not prepared, and talked about herself way too much. She is not a good interviewer and could use some training.

You are a natural Angie! We love you! Thanks for sharing this overdue podcast with us. The way we can relate in some way to every single interview is refreshing & thought provoking. Can’t wait to see what 2023 brings. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I only listened to the latest episode. I thought the host wasn’t the greatest interviewer, out leagued by Kim K. The questions were not well planned and kind of rambling. I do t like to hear the interviewers perspective or thoughts, I like the interviewer to prepare and get the most out of the guest. If it was supposed to be a conversation between two people, they have to be equally interesting and only one person was.

I love Angke, but I prefer Rory N Mal

Angie is a vibe, she helps create a safe space for everyone to be authentic.

I love the conversation and the guest you have had on the show. I love the in-depth conversation and how you bring the best out of the guest.

This podcast is the reason why podcast should exist. Every story, every question, and every thought that goes into the creation of it creates a deeper love for the work you do! Season 2 and there isn’t one interview I haven’t listened to more then twice. The Lauren interview made me see my own grief in a different way; Kelly made me appreciate my dad more, joe and Mallory gave me a deeper compassion for my brother and my clients.. I hope and wish you continue to do this forever!

This podcast is what my soul needed. So, so good. Her questions, the insight and the conversations are amazing!

This Podcast is next level and the transparency and openness of Angie and her guest is so real and amazingly good. I grew up listening to Angie on the radio as a born and raised New Yorker. She’s done a great job of always keeping her personal life personal but here we get to enjoy her on a much deeper level while doing what she does best. I appreciate her wisdom and seeing her live life in flow at this age. Makes me look forward to aging
