When we say we don't believe people have free will, it is a particular response to the Arminian definition of Free Will. We do not mean that people don't have the ability to make decisions and follow through with those decisions. We do mean that people have been cut off from the Tree of Life and lack the ability to reach out, take the fruit, and eat. Christ must hand us the fruit from His tree.See my consideration of the Baptist Faith and Message on my blog: andrewpaulcannon.blog

I have been asked to cover the topic of Calvinism today. This is the first of a six-episode look at Calvinism and its alternatives. Please listen respectfully. My intent is not to convert anyone to or away from any self-designated category. It is to bring us closer to Christ as we consider who He is and what He is doing. Please use the following links to see the Articles of the Remonstrance, Canons of Dort, and 2000 BF&M.

In this episode, I share my thoughts about how pastors can be happy serving their congregations. We are often blinded by the things we think need to be done, trading something that would be good in place of something that is great. We get there not by making progress but, instead, by resting in Christ and exulting in our congregations.

Brandon Robertson makes a claim that many Christians read their own thoughts and beliefs into the Bible in order to argue against scientific discovery and modern-day consensual homosexual relationships. Here is a brief evaluation of his claim. I have tried to be as loving in my approach as possible.
