In this episode you will hear from Greg McFarlane, who is an elected trustee member and the current Board Chair of the Seven Oaks School Division. Greg speaks on His experience within the school division, and issues with Anti-Black racism in three generations of his family. Greg also speaks of his  hope for a better, uplifted community that His children, and other young Black people can achieve success and thrive in.

Imani was one of the Justice for Black Lives Winnipeg Organizers and is now working on her own social justice projects to lift up other Black students in Her community. In this episode you will hear from Brianna Hemans, a teacher candidate in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba. She shared her experiences with anti-Black racism as a student growing up in Winnipeg and her hopes for her future career as an Educator.

In this first episode I detail the meaning behind this podcast series and some of my own experience with anti-Black racism within the Educational system.
