I still fail to understand how people fall into this unhinged stuff but just look at these reviews. There are way too many of these feeble minded lunatics out there. I hope there is help for them, but I doubt it. Anyone who can look at J6 and think these treasonous monsters don’t deserve hard prison time is beyond all reasoning. At least they wear their little red hats so normal people know who to watch out for.

Well done podcast. The family’s (understandable) refusal to understand and accept an addict may use again, no matter how much their “sobriety is the most important thing in the world to them)” is infuriating and heartbreaking. All the signs and evidence are there. The friend that mentioned her odd fidgeting behavior was just dismissed! The heightened situation she was in likely elevated her anxiety and blood pressure also affecting her ability to breath. She may still be alive if she wasn’t compromised by amphetamine and poor health. Looks to me like all these factors were part of the cause. She was already dead by the time the physical trauma would have possibly killed her. Sorry, that’s my opinion. A tragic loss no matter what and Trump is indirectly at fault. The insane conspiracy theories fueled the madness that took her and other’s lives. The Capital police barely fought back knowing they were outnumbered. I was shocked they didn’t open fire. They had every right to. It was a treasonous insurrection.

Ms. Borland was killed by the Capital Police. There were several police officers that were using their batons to beat her. I know an eye witness that was there and witness this. Lila Morris beat her when Roseanne was unconscious. There were primary three other police officers that beat her. There are lots of J6ers that will tell you the truth. The Trump supporters were trying to save Roseanne but the police were beating the people that were trying to help her. The Capital force used flash bangs, sting balls, rubber bullets, and tear gas. There were other people who were praying and they were attacked as well. Brian Sicknick died from a blood clot and stroke not from a beating. Read Julie Kelly’s book.

This was an excellent series investigating how people can fall into the rabbit hole of buying into conspiracy theorists and con artists. Understandably, it’s a tough listen for people who struggle with critical thinking.

This is the Kurt and Courtney of podcasts. If you don’t know about the Kurt and Courtney documentary, do your brain a favor and don’t bother with it or with this. They’re both nothingburgers but worse…gluten-free buns and beyond beef “burgers”. Nothing gets told, exposed, or resolved. Nothing. Like, imagine starting a clinical trial but being given the placebo but being told upfront you’re going to get the placebo. That’s what a complete waste of time this is.

Boy moves out of Georgia, becomes a liberal elitist. He then seizes the opportunity to get attention by entertaining the Leftist echo chamber by coming back home and bashing the people of his hometown and spouting a bunch of speculation. Charming.

Interesting podcast that sheds light on how marginalized people who are feeling lost can be hijacked and radicalized. This sad story is taking place all over our country. I know so many people who have lost friends or family members to these wild conspiracy theories, and you have cut off their loved ones to follow these crazy ideas and beliefs.

This is an interesting podcast about a young woman who had addiction problems and lacked critical thinking skills, which made her vulnerable to Q nonsense. She fell down the rabbit hole and it cost her her life. She is responsible for her death because of the misguided radicals she believed and the choices she made.

Overall good podcast. The two points I disliked were the drama around “finding Justin” I felt like it was way overplayed to try and add some interest to the story that was entirely unecessary. Dude has a very understandable reason to not want to talk to reporters, it doesn’t have to be a detective drama and has nothing to do with Roseanne’s story. I also found the incessant beer ads pretty tasteless given the prolonged discussion about Rosannes struggle with substance abuse, AA, and possibility of relapse. Even though they state that she never struggled with alcohol specifically, substance abuse is serious and it was very jarring to have these intense conversations interrupted by a peppy song and dance promoting alcohol multiple times an episode.

The whole conspiracy craze just dumbfounds me but I was captured by this story and the witness of her family about how she got caught up in it. I think making the dangers of this stuff personal by telling it from one woman’s life is powerful.

I wish we knew more about who and where the Q-Anon stuff was presented to her. I believe she was prayed upon and if we knew mire, maybe others could be saved. I feel for her and her family and friends - this was important to humanize her and make her a more complex person than just a pawn.

The people that attacked the capital were reactionaries, not radicals. I am not rating the content of the program because I refuse to engaging with it over such an obvious error in the title.

Pretty one sided. What would have happened if the summer of 2020 and Antifa burning down whole cities was not Antifa but the so called “radical” MAGA crowd. Just some thoughts for you. As someone who wants both sides of the story it’s hard to watch how biased mainstream media has become.

I listened to your entire podcast and it is tragic that this woman died. It is shameful that the family backed away from the podcast when the narrative they were pushing surrounding her death, turned from her being the victim of being radicalized, to being the one who may have been the influence on someone else. You also failed to mention in any episode that on Jan 6th, President Trump tweeted a video telling people to go home, and reminding them that that they are the party of law and order, but Twitter took it down almost immediately. Every time you or your “Qanon” expert say “Qanon”, you just prove that you have never read a post or have any clue what they actually say. There is no “Qanon”. There is Q and there are anons who are people who research information in a Q post and then analyze and share the documents or information they locate. Also, why was “Out of Shadows” taken down from so many platforms? Was it a copyright issue or censorship? Further, there were (and probably still are) back doors to child trafficking sites that could be accessed through Twitter (in fact Elon Musk reported that 800,000 accounts that had distributed child sexual abuse material were suspended in February 2023 alone) so it’s not really so far-fetched to think that Wayfair and other sites had similar back doors. Why wouldn’t Wayfair just take an item down instead of keeping it on the site with an extremely inflated price, and a name that in many instances did match an uncommon or unusual name of a missing child? Your listeners are naive if they think that pedophilia isn’t rampant in circles of the rich and powerful. You should be reporting on that.

I really was intrigued and listened as the episodes came out but it seemed to abruptly end. Did I not listen close enough to realize that it was intended to be only a few episodes?

This young woman, a protester, was cruelly beaten to death while she lay writhing on the ground. She was unarmed and doing nothing illegal. The cop who murdered her beat her continuously with a long heavy weapon after she lay helpless on the ground. This cop has been honored twice publicly and never charged with a crime. Video shows this from multiple angles. Video that was hidden by Democrats so they could s advance a narrative that Jan 6 protesters were armed insurrectionists. This podcast will haunt all those responsible for making it due to its appalling lack of truth. It is propaganda. By the way, I am waiting for your podcast about the radicalization of the Antifa “protesters” who have killed people, attacked cops, destroyed millions of dollars of property and committed countless violent acts. For those of us that have lost family members to QAnon, this is hard to listen to. It’s a dangerous cult that preys on people who are lonely and desperate. Maybe we can invest in a national reprogramming effort to attempt to bring these people back from the crazy. It’s so sad. It’s not surprising that churches are promulgating this nonsense. Gullible people are the easiest ones to pick off.

I have got to know the people who have got a lot of anxiety and pain and problems, but I’m still praying that they stay safe and sane in the world and they are not using the War Tools That they have.

i thought it was going to be about her life before and during the events that took place. seemed to be more about trying to tell everyone how bad trump was. if i were her parents and had listened to this podcast that was suppose to be about her and not all about trump/republican party i would be disgusted. very very poorly made.

That this troubled, addicted and vulnerable woman was drawn to Qanon and radicalized isn’t surprising. That her fellow Q travelers think somehow this investigation is “biased” and illegitimate is predictable. It details her decline into Q’s rabbit hole of madness while Trump and his minions sold fictions that metastasized into a failed, incompetent (thank God) attempt at a coup. I find this to be a well told story that had me reliving the situation as I listened. I find it interesting the amount of people who down vote this, and criticize because it’s not aligned with their own personal political beliefs. As if they listen to this podcast expecting to hear the story told from the perspective of the poor woman who was murdered by police. Accountability is a two-way street, Roseann made her decision, and that decision unfortunately cost her life. Keep up the good work sir.

All politics aside, I’m already sick of the family talking about this woman’s drug problem, how she didn’t even have to work because her parents took care of her and how it was alluded that Justin may have instigated her to do more than she planned before they arrived to the capital. How about some accountability on her behalf????

If you’re looking for an objective telling of this for girls death, this definitely isn’t it. This is a point of view from a group of a liberal diaper baby millennials stepping on this poor girls crave in order to further their agenda. Bragging about their objectivity in one breath and arguing with a witness the next. It’s a lost opportunity to tell a story that should have been told.

This podcast seems caught up in giving family a friend impressions of Rosanne and even delving into how her death was used by the right but never really answers the question of how she was radicalized. I expected the reporter, who had reported on Islamic radicalization, to draw parallels but it was never really done. It all seems to come to an abrupt conclusion without being very deliberate in getting there.

Great podcast. I feel for her family and the need to get answers. My sympathy can only go so far for the people that were part of these riots though.. Maybe you should’ve stayed home. On the other side of things, am I shocked that the police are not being held accountable for there actions? No. These people are just used to being on the side of the cops. They’re the same people that will defend the police when someone of the BIPOC community are a victim of police brutality. Your white privilege didn’t protect you in this situation and now you’re playing victim to circumstances that you created.

Very interesting story on how Roseanne became the person she was and how people can get sucked into dangerous groups. However slightly irritating that you’re trying to find her killer. No one killed her. It was an accident. If you put yourself in a situation don’t blame anyone else for your decisions. The police warned those people numerous times! They were doing something illegal.

Ayman did an excellent job at bringing the listener along for the discovery adventure. The process of discovering who Rosanne was to her friends and family was thorough. It was easy to see how this loving compassionate woman was drawn into becoming an activist as soon as she believed children were being mistreated. The family could not have known her actions would lead to a disaster. I’m glad I found this most enlightening story into a beautiful persons life. I abhor the radical GOP leaders who fuel the poisonous rhetoric distorting our great Democracy. Thank you Ayman.

Ayman brings a unique lens through which to exam a tragic and dangerous event in American history. Giving voice to loved ones, as well as exploring how a person becomes radicalized is thought provoking and gives rise to introspection. Well worth a listen.

Fantastic podcast, had me hooked. Such a sad story. Roseanne could have been the sister, daughter, cousin of any of us. No matter what her life circumstance & beliefs, she was a human deserving of respect & love. Great story telling! More stories like this, please!

Interesting info about Q-anon but this is a lame podcast with a lotta iffy speculations about how this woman became radicalized. No idea why they chose this title. Click bait maybe. The hosts never got hold of anyone they needed to talk to so it’s all speculative and half baked. Plus even the family is hard to root for, they’re self obsessed and don’t really seem interested in the truth. Where did Rosanne get radicalized? By whom? They never even get a hold of the person who did the autopsy or the guy she went to the capitol with. They really should have waited till they had a FEW answers or key interviews before publishing this podcast. Big waste of time.

Also, this is about a person who passed because of an addiction problem. There should have been help provided for this young woman. Instead, we want to bash Trump for this? Is this a joke??
