It is real good to listen to During work on stuff

I’ve enjoyed Darkness Prevails’ other shows, so this isn’t written out of dislike for the creator. I understand the demands of running multiple successful podcasts, and as a parent myself, I understand how precious time becomes when you’re balancing creative work with family responsibilities. But I wish we’d be more thoughtful about what we choose to automate. There are so many aspects of running a creative business that can be outsourced or streamlined with AI. The actual human voice telling the stories, though? The personality and presence that listeners connect with? That’s different. I’d rather see a creator publish less frequently, shorten the episodes, or take a break than replace the human element that made people connect with their work in the first place. Technology should make creative work more sustainable, not remove the very thing that makes it meaningful. Sometimes the human element is the product.

I absolutely loved this guys stuff for about 5 years- I get why he’s using ai for voicing his stories and personally I like hearing the weird noises he makes when the story says something like “I heard it screaming in the woods….aaaAAAAGHHHAHAU” It’s funny and it helps me get a feeling of how it probably sounded 😭 I know a lot of people are hating on him for using ai but as far as I know he’s not “writing” stories with ai!

I love all of your podcasts, I don’t care about the ai, but for god sakes stop with the background sounds, please stop the fake rain sounds!!!

If the show decides to go on, the host must be transparent about having an AI voice clone on their description and in the intro of EVERY episode. I’m not thrilled about him using AI, even if it’s of his own voice. While I somewhat understand why he’s trying to, it came off as very shady and not transparent. You owe your listeners that, and unfortunately I’ve unsubscribed to keep my clean water ✌️

I get that you need an Ai Voice Clone, and thats just fine! All the haters that read this, think. Your running 3 shows, and a new parent, each of them are weekly and an hour long. Would you feel stressed enough to want a break? Obviously this creator could be a bit less sloppy with work (this means no offense, I am sorry if I offended you by saying that..) but, he’s trying his best!! Besides, if the Ai voice is “Such a big deal, maybe your too little” yes I quoted ‘Too Much’ :3

I’ve been listening for MANY years. I’ve been criticizing the use of the AI voice since the beginning. Every now and then I’ll think “oh my gosh maybe he doesn’t use it anymore!” and get happy about it. Then I’ll hear a mistake that’s obviously from a written typo that a human reader would’ve corrected in the moment and I just deflate again. It’s not about “stealing labor.” You’re profiting off things you’re not doing and using an AI version of your voice and not making that clear in every episode and it is VERY shady. Hire a human. If you can’t do that, cancel the show. And the fact that you said “my family will suffer” as a kind of guilt trip is gross. as if your listeners OWE you something. That’s even shadier. You chose to make this your income, you chose to rely on it, and then you chose to use AI and continue profiting off of doing virtually nothing. Welcome to the consequences of your own actions.

Yes, please use the old model to be honest with you. I listen to all your shows and mouth while the ones probably six or seven hours a day while I’m working and driving and I never even knew that this was an AI model. I figured it was you pausing and starting back up because I was saying he has a life and people think just because it shows how long it takes you an hour no normally takes 2×4, but

I love this podcast along with Unexplained Encounters and Tales from the Breakroom. I’m always excited every time a new episode is released from any of these. Yes I did notice the voice was weird in your last episode of Alone in the Woods but it didn’t bug me to the point of not being able to finish the episode. I understand how you have to figure out how to juggle 3 podcasts at once. That’s a lot! I don’t really mind the AI voice if you can get it corrected so it isn’t so glitchy and off putting. I don’t like the idea of canceling the show at all. So I think whatever you have to do to keep it going is completely up to you. From a fan who appreciates all the work you put in. Keeping doing you, man.

This is my favorite podcast to listen to. My kids like to listen to it with me as well, and we anticipate each new episode and have fun catching up on anything we’ve missed. I especially loved Nature’s Temper narrating the stories, but Darkness Prevails is equally good in his own way. We also understood a long time ago that Darkness Prevails’ voice on this podcast was an AI clone, but it’s still wonderful story telling! This is my very first podcast review. I wanted to make sure to answer Darkness Prevails’ most recent question and make sure he knows how much we love his storytelling, even by the AI clone! Please keep up the fantastic work!

I’ve listened to this show for years, prior to when Darkness Prevails switched to an AI bot. I actually didn’t mind when he had a different, human host and liked it better than the AI bot. Overall the stories are enjoyable and I listen regularly. I’m glad Darkness acknowledged the terrible quality of the most recent cast. It’s the only time I wasn’t able to finish the show because of how truly awful the AI voice was. I hope he keeps the show going, considers hiring a new host and scraps the AI bot.

Hire a narrator or I’m unfollowing. I’ve been with you since the og days and I’d hate to lose faith in you now.

I personally haven’t yet listened to the latest episode, however I have not noticed you were using an AI voice clone of your own voice! I think your own voice has a particular effect in these story’s, and I like it! As long as you are consenting and are doing everything you need to do to feel comfortable moving forward using the AI voice, I’m open! Wishing you all the success.

I listen to all of the Eeriecast Network podcasts and enjoy them all. I don’t care if the creator uses an AI clone of his own voice. Unlike much of the repetitive YouTube AI horror channels, the stories here are still prepared by people. And they’re darn good ones.

I love your show, who cares if you have to use an AI clone. Keep up the good work, I listen every night before bed. If people don’t like it they can go elsewhere.

Keep cloning it with your voice

AI voice. You can hear it in pronunciations, random glitches, sometimes he goes partially into an accent if he’s talking about that area or the original story writer says they’re from a specific area. AI slop.

I like the listener stories, but I don’t like that the reader’s voice is AI generated. Why have a podcast if you don’t want to talk? I would rather hear a real person speak. The AI voice sounds so empty and lifeless.

I love listening to cryptic podcasts, yet just found this station. Been a big fan of Darkness Prevails, I was excited to listen to Alone in the Woods. I only wish I’d have found this sooner. Alone in the woods is a amazing podcast that is so good it’s my top 3 podcasts ( #2) Darkness Prevails is my #1 . Both are so enjoyable that when I start listening, next thing I know I’ve listened for 4-6 hours and still want more. Give this a listen, you are warned though. Time will fly by at a enjoyable pace. Love this 🏆

My family always enjoyed any type of camping, so when our kids grew up we started taking the grand kids. The kids always wanted scary stories around the camp fire, your stories are the best! This old lady doesn’t camp anymore because my partner has passed but I have great memories and your podcast brings them to life again. Can’t say we had any experiences like these but some interesting adventures. Thanks Katz

Love the stories, just wish the Ads were at the same or less volume then the rest of the show. It will go from a nice quiet story, to a lady screaming in your ear about a sale.

The voice sounds like AI… the way things like place names are pronounced differently from sentence to sentence is distracting.

The real horror story here is how many acres of woods have been destroyed by the data centers that are generating these fake stories. How much fresh water has been poisoned to create this slop whose only purpose is to make one uncreate lazy thief a bucket of advertising revenue.

I love the narration, and the type of stories. I enjoy all of his podcasts.

Hidden treasure

Are you looking for a good ghost story? More often than not, you’re going to encounter a story about a Skinwalker over and over again to the point that you know how it’s going to end before it ends.

All of Eerie Cast shows are great but his are my favorite. He does have a few compilations that are AI. He let us know that he used it for those. You can tell the difference between his AI and his real once you’ve heard them both. I always skip the AI (just don’t like it). But I’ve noticed they are mostly in the long compilations not the general hour shows.

These stories are so unbelievable it’s almost funny. All of this creators casts sound like he just takes horribly written Reddit stories and puts them through his AI voice filter. There’s also stories of him describing a situation where the character “flips the safety on his Glock 17”. Glocks don’t even have safeties lol. It’s all fake stories written by people who don’t have a clue about what they’re talking about. They also pay people for their stories on tales from the break room so of course they’re all going to be bs.

I follow your other shows and love the creepiness of this show. It’s a nice, scary yet soothing storytelling. It makes my workday fly by and I appreciate the work that is put in this series as well.

muah! refreshing when you listen to this every single night for sleep. i usually replay because i miss a lot of stories from sleeping lol, but i also hear alot of them too so i switch up to this one from explained encounters. it’s cool because these stories are all woods related!love love love it ! buying the book in the morning, im so excited!

Not sure if this is AI or what, but the voice is so annoying. Pronouncing a name or word and then saying a whole different pronunciation of same name/word. Not sure how long I can listen to this.

The stories are well written and drug you into a whole new world of the supernatural. I know it may not be for everyone but I personally love it and recommend it to any believers or skeptic. That’s the thing, it’s up to you on how you see each story, but I know it’s a wild fun ride of mysteries, disappearances and things we aren’t supposed to see.
