After a six month hiatus, Andrew and Tyler return to discuss the major events of the last three weeks.

In this episode, Andrew and Tyler host their first guest: Nate from Fishtown. The three discuss similarities and differences in public and law enforcement response to BLM demonstrations in cities and in rural areas. Vigilant groups seem present in both situations and particular focus is paid to them.

As per usual, Andrew and Tyler get lost in some conspiracy theories. However, the general theme of catching up on new COVID-19 effects on our communities is discussed. How many more people can we expect to find that are just “over” COVID-19? How can the pandemic still persist so strongly in the U.S.?

Andrew and Tyler discuss what it is like to protest for progress and justice in rural America. Because of the familiar nature of smaller communities, the protestors and counter-protestors will often know each other which can lead to some uncomfortable situations. It doesn’t make the work less vital. However, local demonstration also does wonders to remind you that you aren’t all that alone in the boondocks.

Following the police murder of George Floyd, Andrew and Tyler discuss advocacy and allyship in a rural community. The topic of American Decline is played with, but not in the traditional conservative sense. They struggle to not be a bumbling mess of white privilege.
