John 14:15 | This week we will look at the introduction of "The Paraclete." What, who, or how is this? Jesus will inform his disciples (us included) that HE must depart this world, but to not fret because he is going to send the paraclete to us. So that's exciting... if we know what that means.

John 14:12...| Raise your hand if you have ever been frustrated by prayer. God doesn’t seem to be answering my prayers! Did God take the day, the week, the year, the decade off? Am I even loved by God? Does God hear anything I’m asking? Maybe he’s impatient to act in this world?

John 14:1-11 | This is the beginning of Jesus’ pre-arrest farewell speech and the part where he famously declares that He alone is THE Way… THE Truth… and THE Life.

John 13:18-38 | This Sunday we will be working through the back half of John 13 together which unpacks a few of the conversations Jesus had with his disciples at the last supper. The star of the show is, you guessed it, a rooster. Come and see how this obnoxious and puffed-up foul can be God's incredible grace to you as we commune together.

John 13:1-17 | This Sunday we get the privilege of studying perhaps the greatest of Jesus’s “one another” commands. Jesus will tell his disciples —and therefore us — to love one another just like he loved us; through radical servant leadership. Excited to be exploring one of the most symbolic acts of humility - the washing of feet.

John 12 | Last Sunday we saw the crowds welcome Jesus into Jerusalem with celebration and excitement, but John records for us how a single conversation with Jesus killed all their hopeful energy making them completely apathetic to his cause. What did Jesus say to cause such an about-face?

This Sunday we're in our second week of the advent of Jesus’ death, which has become known as His “triumphal” entry, ironically.

Today we are looking back in John chapter 12, looking at the anointing of Jesus by Mary of Bethany just about a week before his arrest and crucifixion. Now, what is so interesting about this chapter is that it seems to have these subtle parallels to the birth details recorded for us at the beginning of the gospels of Luke and Matthew. We often call those stories the "Nativity" at this time of year. Nativity means "the occasion of a person's birth." So I wonder… is the writer John intentionally arranging these stories in the manner he does to draw our attention to these similarities? Could we have a sort of nativity of Jesus' Death? The occasion and origin of the death of Jesus Christ. If so, why would John do that? and what might be good for us to remember that today as well?
