In this episode of All About Printmaking, Phil and Amy discuss the printmaking form of Stencil. The most familiar method of stencil is, of course, serigraphy, or silk-screen. The matrix is formed by creating a stencil onto a mesh fabric which is stretched over a frame of metal or wood. When ink is squeegeed through the fabric onto paper, fabric, metal, or virtually any kind of material the image is printed onto that material.
