There are some really good tips here. Unfortunately you have to sift through a lot of Lori soliciting her services and it often feels like I’m listening to a long commercial.

Nursing strike
Lori’s podcast and consults have been very helpful to me during my daughter’s nursing strike. Her positive and wise nature still gives me hope that maybe one day my daughter will nurse again. Lori has presented me with many alternatives and tools to continue pumping during this time. She emails me to check in and answers all of my questions in a timely manner. Her philosophy on breastfeeding and holistic health has truly hit home for me. Her genuine nature and insightfulness has made me recommend her to a few friends and family members. I could go on and on about how amazing she is. If you are seeking a second opinion on your breastfeeding journey, I would recommend Lori any day!

Much needed podcast
Lori is a wealth of knowledge, I am confident that she can help families navigate through any and all challenging situation. She’s down-to-earth, patient and compassionate. This podcast is a breath of fresh air in world where there’s so much conflicting and confusing information about breastfeeding.

Interview Chris Auer
Lori has an uncanny knack for breaking open a nugget in the interview and exposing the sparkling truths that are common to all breastfeeding/pumping mamas. LCs can relate to the common experiences we share as caregivers during this liminal moment in a woman’s journey. Grateful to you Lori. Remember self-care applies to you too!

10/10- highly recommend!
Lori has been such a comfort to me on my breastfeeding journey. She is knowledgeable, and passionate about her work as an IBCLC, and I have learned so much from listening to her podcast. She leads a Facebook group, and also has an online breastfeeding class. If you live in Phoenix, she can even come help you at your house, and if not, she does virtual consultations as well. If you’re having an issue with breastfeeding, chances are- Lori has done an episode about it.

An excellent, must-have breastfeeding resource
Lori’s podcast is by far the most comprehensive, information-packed podcast about breastfeeding that I’ve come across. She is a wealth of information which she shares with humor, kindness and understanding. This podcast is a must for any mom-to-be who hopes to breastfeed as well as current breastfeeding moms and their supportive others.

A remarkable resource
Lori Isenstadt's gem is a warm, thoughtful, encouraging resource for any mom who plans to nurse her child(ren). She is at once gifted in the art of meaningful conversation and knowledgeable not just about breastfeeding, but about all things motherhood. She is dedicated to raising awareness about breastfeeding: how to do it well, how to get help if you need it, and how to educate everyone in meaningful, lasting ways. I was thrilled to join her show recently, to discuss my debut book on perinatal mental health (Episode 409: When Postpartum Packs a Punch). I had a traumatic birth with my first child in 2009, which spiraled into postpartum depression. One of the saving graces was my decision to nurse him. I had no trouble breastfeeding--a gift, I later realized--and he plumped up from seven to eleven pounds in no time. That I was able to nourish and bond with him through nursing was a mental boost, and a great source of healing. As Lori aptly says, too often women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are wrongly discouraged when it comes to nursing. Perhaps they're struggling to get it right, or maybe they get misinformation about antidepressants affecting their children. If they truly want to nurse and are robbed of the chance to do it, this could compound their mood disorder. I nursed my first child for a nearly a year; my second, for more than two years. My mom nursed me until I was in kindergarten. In the late 1970s, that wasn't popular. Yet her commitment led to a wonderful bond between us. I developed similarly strong bonds with both of my children through breastfeeding. Looking back through the prism of a decade, one of the things I miss most about the baby years is nursing. It's an oasis that stays with you forever. Whether or not you face a postpartum illness, you'll do well to listen to Lori's show regularly. If you want to nurse, she's the best person to have on your side.

Essential Information for ALL!
I started listening to Lori’s podcast during my second trimester. I knew I wanted to breastfeed but was nervous because no one it my family had done it for any extended period of time. Lori’s podcast is so well rounded & informative. But, what’s more is the Audio Class she offers! I have access to the class whenever I need & it covers everything from birth, the early recovering days, important milestones in the first year, through weaning & beyond! I love Lori’s mission of normalizing breastfeeding. I feel so blessed to have discovered this podcast, her class & the amazing community of other Moms! Thank you, Lori for all of your dedicated work!!!

Loving, supportive evidence-based information
I started listening to this podcast during my pregnancy. At the time I also happened to be starting to volunteer as a visiting nurse in my area. I have learned SO MUCH from Lori’s podcast. What I love the most is that she is using true, evidence based information combined with a very nurturing and supportive attitude. She doesn’t know this but she has felt like a breastfeeding ‘mom’ to me! I’ve now been exclusive breastfeeding my daughter for one year and helped other women too!

Wish everyone knew about Lori and her show
I found Lori’s podcast during my second pregnancy and I am so glad that I did. I listen to her podcasts with so many viewpoints on breastfeeding by many people. I follow her on Facebook and signed up for the audio class. Knowing there is someone I can talk to and someone with so much experience has been an amazing support on my breastfeeding journey with my second. I only wish I had found all of these resources with my first. Lori is extremely approachable and calm when giving guidance. She really is amazing. Thank you for all you share with the breastfeeding community.

For all breastfeeding mamas out there!
This podcast really helped me better understand my baby and our journey through breastfeeding. I didn’t know half the things I’ve already listened to, but I love telling people about all that I’ve learned from this podcast and referring them to it!

Wonderful and informative!
Lori is wonderful!! I’ve started listening from the very beginning and I love the content and the boldness of the topics she shares. A Must for Breastfeeding Mothers
I began listening when I was pregnant with my first son in 2016. Lori's guidance on the basics of breastfeeding provide an excellent primer for all breastfeeding mothers, while her in-depth interviews bolster you as you continue your journey to realize you are not alone. Knowledge is power - the information I have picked up through listening has prompted me to seek out one-on-one help when I recognized things weren't going well, and has helped me preserve my supply through two breastfeeding journeys. For those who listen and like what they hear, Lori also offers an online breastfeeding class where you can get detailed information and additional resources, plus a private Facebook group and personalized support. I recommend this podcast and additional resources to all my nursing friends.

Great Work You Are Doing!
I am an IBCLC but also a nursing manager so I don’t spend enough time with moms as I would like. There just isn’t enough time. I am leading community outreach for childbirth and breastfeeding in our hospital. As I listened to your interview with Debra I felt an instant kinship to both of you. We have such an awesome responsibility to mothers in our country and I sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed and sad at how hard our country makes it on breastfeeding moms. Thank you for this wonderful podcast. I will continue to listen and keep learning and networking.

Where the Girls Hang Out... ?
Definitely don't love it. The host takes forever to get to the point of her show, though you do learn a lot when she finally does. She just seems odd. The intro, along with the subtitle, is the weirdest thing ever, it makes me cringe every time. The adds are also super long. So after I've forwarded through all the things I don't like and it gets to the point, I can get some good info, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Immensely helpful for a first time mom!
I listened to several of Lori’s podcast while still pregnant to help me prepare for my breast-feeding journey. I knew that I wanted to exclusively breast-feed and I had heard that it could be quite difficult. My baby is now seven days old and has already surpassed his birthweight and I’m pleased to say that I have absolutely no pain when breast-feeding. I truly believe that listening to this podcast helped me understand what a good latch is and what normal infant behavior should look like. I love breast-feeding my baby and I am still listening to the podcast to continue learning more. I highly recommend it!

The best podcast for breastfeeding mothers AND professionals. I wouldn’t be the lactation consultant I am today without my weekly “in services” from Lori and her guests. Thank you for all you provide to the lactation community, Lori!

Lori always seems to have the most relevant topics on her show. When you are listening, you can not only relate to what she is saying but, you also feel she is talking directly to you! She’s so knowledgeable and personable! :) Her professional nature makes it extremely helpful in fully understanding the topic at hand. I recommend this podcast as a mom and IBCLC!

A Must for New Moms!
I listened to this podcast during my whole pregnancy with my first child. I thought that breastfeeding would just come naturally, but I learned that isn't the case. Many women struggle, but this podcast armed me with the knowledge to meet my breastfeeding goals and get help from an IBCLC in my area when I needed it. After listening to this podcast for over two years, I feel almost as if Lori is a friend supporting and teaching me. I would reccommend this show to new mothers, but also any expecting mother! My baby just turned 1 and I still enjoy listening!

Great info— but you’ve got to hunt for it
I like this show, but it could easily be a quarter the length and be just as informative. And even more enjoyable. The proportion of fluff and advertising to actual information makes it less appealing than other resources, despite the good personality.

Wonderful in all ways!
Lori's interviews are open, honest and feels like two friends are talking. She is so knowledgeable and down to earth with the way she shares her expertise. Highly recommend for the new and expectant parent who is considering breastfeeding!

Excellent source of information
I love this podcast! It’s been an excellent source of information for all things breastfeeding related. I’ve learned so much and if I ever have another baby, I will be much more confident about breastfeeding. I also love Lori. She is a great host to her guests and I love listening to her give advice. I honestly had to remove one star though because the audio quality on this podcast can be hit or miss. Most of the time it’s fine and I can listen in my car without cranking the volume. But the last few episodes have been pretty bad, especially the ones with Talia. I couldn’t even listen to them it was so frustrating. Hopefully this can be fixed. I recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to learn more about breastfeeding.

Great show, lots of good takeaways on breastfeeding and more!
Lori does a great job educating her audience and giving them the tools information they need to make informed decisions on breastfeeding. Also includes takeaways for lifestyle, like work life balance and other hard earned knowledge from the trenches in her day to day work.

Wonderful Guidance and Support
I never write reviews, but I definitely read them when I'm deciding what to buy, listen to, or where to go/do. I'm so thankful that others took the time to review this podcast - because of those reviews I stumbled upon it when my son was about 2 weeks old and I was at a point of desperation. It was such a difficult period for us as we had many issues with breastfeeding - high weight loss and poor weight gain, chronic spit up, and tongue and lip ties. I found so much comfort in the episodes, hearing that I wasn't a failure, that many other mothers struggled with the same issues we were, and that ultimately everything would be OK. I would literally listen to the podcast all night long during our feeding marathons. Lorie has such a calming demeanor and she covers so many topics extensively! Through the podcast, she kept me company when everyone I knew was asleep and offered the encouragement I needed to stay the course and keep my cool as we struggled through the early weeks. I consider these episodes an invaluable resource for breastfeeding and my only wish is that I found the podcast sooner! Thank you Lorie for the work that you do! I hope that you can continue to help others as you have helped us!

Fabulous!!
I'm a birth and postpartum doula wanting to learn everything about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This podcast has opened my eyes to so many aspects of the breastfeeding world that I recommend it to everyone I meet that shows even a speck of interest. Lori opens up about so many topics that either she's been involved in personally or has guests on that have had that experience, you'll really find this as one of the best resources you can have in your back pocket.

The absolute best breastfeeding help!
These podcasts are so helpful and so encouraging. I have benefitted from Lori's help over 9 and a half straight years of breastfeeding with 4 different children - she has helped with every problem, from the newborn stage with tongue ties, wrong latches, thrush, etc to helping me wean each child when I was ready. She is so supportive of each mom making decisions that make sense for their own situations. She has so much to offer and these podcasts do just that!
