Stuart Munton is the Chief of Group Operations and Technology AND Scrum Half at AND Digital. Read: CIO for AND Digital, a medium sized tech consulting company here in the UK. As an Agile expert and AI enthusiast at the forefront of incorporating AI into the Software Delivery profession, I wanted to get Stuart on to the podcast to share how his teams are using AI in AND Digital, and his vision for how AI can help our teams deliver. I am impressed at his combination of optimism and realism. He’s under no illusions about the environmental impact of AI and the potential shortcomings, but he doesn’t let that get in the way. As you will hear in the episode, Stuart has a vision for how teams, crews and practitioners can work alongside AI to accelerate forwards and deliver value. It’s a great conversation You can find Stuart on LinkedIn or on a conference stage near you. What can coaching learn from neuroscience, and what can neuroscience learn from coaching? How much do you need to know about the brain to be able to use insights from neuroscience in your coaching practice? I sat down with Ann Betz, co-founder of BEabove Leadership and an international speaker and trainer on the intersection of neuroscience, coaching, and human transformation, to discuss these questions and more.Ann is an internationally recognised expert on neutroscience and coaching, contributing to the International Coaching Federation and Coaches Training Institute. I came across her from her Choice Magazine article about the future of neuroscience in coaching and I was delighted that she accepted my invitation to be a guest on the podcast. Amir Atzmon is a playback theatre and improv artist, a somatic psychotherapist and a translator of psychoanalytic theory based out of Tel Aviv. I met Amir in December 2025 at a Jewish cultural festival and experienced some of the playful spaces he facilitates, and I wanted to share some of Amir’s experience and knowledge with my podcast audience. We discuss playback theatre, creating safe spaces for improvisation and play, and group trauma and dynamics. We opened up Amir’s treasure chest of practical knowledge about how to build safety and trust with groups. We spent a bit of time also talking about trauma in groups as it relates to Israeli society and the ongoing conflicts in the region. We recorded this episode in February before the most recent war in Iran, but I think much of the analysis still holds. I felt it was important to give space to that discussion given how Amir’s work is in Israel, and how much awful s**t is happening in and around Israel at the moment.I felt uncomfortable with the idea of just leaving it as ‘Amir’s from Israel, nothing notable about that right now’. So I name that in the episode and I hope you find Amir’s very human (and I think compassionate) thoughts interesting and insightful.I trust you’ll treat the discussion with the assumption of good faith as we tread complex and tricky territory. Its a banger of an episode and I hope you really enjoy it. James Pereira KC is a lawyer and a coach practising in London. He has been practising as a barrister since 1996 and a Queen’s (now King’s) Council since 2014, meaning that he’s really top notch. He is also a practising coach across a number of modalities, practicing under the Libra Partnership. In this conversation we explore how he brings his coaching practice to his work in the law.James is the first person I’ve met who practices these two disciplines and he does a brilliant job in our conversation of showing how well the law (and lawyering, as he calls it) can benefit from the world of coaching and interpersonal work.I’ll let the episode speak for itself, but I found it riveting to bounce around ideas with James, and I hope you enjoy it.If you want more of this kind of thing, you can subscribe for free to Intelligent Teams, and you’ll receive a podcast or writings about the sciences of mind and agility straight to your inbox. This week’s guest on the Intelligent Teams podcast is Systemic Constellations Facilitator, Coach, Teacher, Trauma Therapist and Writer Zita Tulyahikayo. Zita and I met fortuitously or - as Zita puts it, systemically - in early 2025 in our local North West London gym sauna. We got into a fascinating conversation about ancestral trauma and ancestral gifts, and when she shared that she does systemic work with organisations I knew she’d be an amazing guest on Intelligent Teams. Zita runs public family constellations workshops, and works with organisations and individuals. You can find out about her work on her website and and she writes on the Life Therapy with Zita substack. In this episode we end up talking about our backgrounds from a systemic perspective and it was a real joy to explore together. This week’s guest on the Intelligent Teams Podcast is Philosopher, Neuroscientist and Podcaster Andrea Hiott. Andrea is the host of the Love and Philosophy - Beyond Dichotomy podcast, where she interviews some of the worlds most eminent thinkers about mind, cognition and experience. Andrea is a researcher at Universität Heidelberg in Utrecht developing her philosophy of Waymaking. I stumbled across Andrea’s work about 6 months ago when researching for my own podcast and have been blown away at the way she integrates thinking and thinkers from across science, philosophy and the humanities. She connects love and poetry with hard science and thorny philosophical problems seamlessly and her curious and holistic way of seeing the world really shines through in this episode. It was really an honour to have Andrea on the podcast. We covered many topics including:* how Andrea became interested in philosophy and the mind* Phenomenology and embodied cognition* Dichotomies in different disciplines and moving beyond boundaries* Philosophy as a way of life and a living approach* Love at work, and why it is so difficult to talk about love* Religion, complexity, awe and connectedness* Workplaces as religions* Identifying as an individual or part of a community* Scrum and Agile at individual and team levels of analysis* Gibson, affordances and sports teams* Waymaking and being embodied in the world* Cultural scaffolding and extended mindIf you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe to Intelligent Teams to receive interviews like this with special guests, as well as my writings bringing the sciences of mind into dialogue with practical wisdom.
