Chris Got Rocked
In this week's episode, we tackle the altercation that happened at the Oscar's between Will Smith and Chris Rock. After a joke made by Rock about Jada Pinkett-Smith's bald head, Will Smith walked on stage and smacked him in the face. We all saw the clips and heard the brief exchange between the two. Was Will wrong? Was Chris wrong? So much to unpack here. Join in with your After29 hosts as we discuss and give our viewpoints on this unfortunate event.

Get Your House In Order
Join us for this week's episode about having your affairs in order. What happens to you and your belongings if you die today? When we consider the state of the black community, too often we find that as a whole we are not nearly as prepared for that inevitable day as other races are. A lot of times we don't have wills prepared, no insurance, no designated executor of estate, etc. Go fundme pages have become the new insurance plan. It seems a little irresponsible to leave this world without making some sort of plan. Is your house in order?

Is Half Good Enough?
HALF? Is it good enough for you? So many conversations have been sparked about the role a man is to play financially in a relationship or marriage. Some say that a man isn't a man if he only pays half of the bills. Some say that a man should pay ALL of the bills. A few women have even said that a man who only pays half isn't her man, he's her roommate. Another woman in a conversation stated that should could not "submit" to a man who only paid half the bills. Join in on this topic with us as we dive into this debate as we discuss our thoughts on these statements and what works for us in a relationship.

Put me in Coach
In this episode the guys tackle the lack of diversity hires in professional sports, especially in the NFL. Also, have we placed too much responsibility on our black and brown players that makes them feel they have to out up with racist behaviors. Race in sports has always and continues to be a very hot topic in our community. As it stands, the NFL has 32 franchises and out of that only 3 teams have a coach who is a minority. 10% doesn't sound like much does it? On the player side, how much racism do we expect the players to deal with before things get out of hand? Join in and tell us what you think!

The Value of a Man
We all know that men and women fundamentally look for different traits in a potential mate when dating. Men tend to focus more on outward appearances, the potential of peace and supportive qualities. Women tend to look at financial stability prowess, security and emotional availability. In general, looking for financial stability seems a sensible quest. However, money seems to play a more important role for women when considering men as a mate. He could be UGLY but his pockets can make him look a lot better. Tune in to this episode and join the conversation.

Where is my business?
In this week's episode, your hosts discuss the lack of black representation in the business. Too often we have frequented strip malls, retail plazas, and business centers only to find that hardly, if any, of the businesses were black owned. That is not to say that blacks do not own and operate businesses of their own because we do; however, the ratio between black owned businesses versus white, Hispanic and Asian owned businesses is at best, lopsided. What could be some of the factors that keep black businesses from being represented in prominent business areas? Join in on this episode and let's start the discussion!

Cancel This
In this week's episode we discuss "Cancel" culture and it's effectiveness. In light of Dave Chapelle's Netflix special entitled "The Closer," some comments were made regarding the LGBTQ+ community and immediately some of its member were calling for his cancellation. How effective do you think "Cancel" culture really is? Are some cancellations warranted? Sometimes we hold people accountable for things they did and said 20 years ago. At what point in the past do we stop holding things against people. Join in on this hot and controversial topic!
