You guys did a great job. In fact finding your podcast got into listening to podcasts. But “the freebooters network “ is garbage. None of them should be doing radio. I guess I should hope you guys got a good deal by joining that group.

I adore this podcast. As someone who is quite far into the Horus Heresy series and generally knows quite a bit about the 40k lore this series is an amazing and entertaining way to quickly review the books that I read quite some time ago.

These guys do a great job of diving into the actual content of 30K and it's various great weirdnesses. Love 'em. Wish they were more frequent.

Love the show, being a huge fan of the HH series and never having anyone to discuss it with, this helps me with that problem! Keep up the good work even if it takes a while for new content.

Great show going over the books of the Horus Heresy. The hosts are great! Dave, one of the hardest working podcasters out there, expands from his Warhammer Fantasy comfort zone and brings in the fresh eyes of a newcomer to the story and Greg balances this out by being able to explain some of the decades of lore he's more familiar with. A great combo. The enthusiasm and love of the story is here, but they do not shy from criticizing the books. It will make you want to read the books again if you haven't. The quality is top notch, the hosts are engaging, and it is great for newcomers to the series or long time fans. The only problem would be it is somewhat slow in coming out. Of course, it takes time to produce good quality, especially when there are other shows they do and lives of their own. Great show, a must listen.

This podcast is a must have for any Horus Heresy or 40k fans. If you don't read the Horus Heresy novels but like sci-fi, read them and follow up each book with this corresponding podcast these guys release. They do a good job of explaining the books and sticking to pretty air tight Horus Heresy lore (or "fluff") as they call it. They are funny but take the books seriously and devote some major time to discussing each book. Only downside is it takes them a while to release each podcast but that's to be expected with guys who are reading all the books and taking ample notes to make the podcast flow. Keep it coming guys!

The hosts are great. They are possitive and interesting. They cover each book in the Horus Heresy series. Great background while you paint.

One of the best Podcasts going for Warhammer. The book reviews are great, the hosts are positive, and you can tell they love the content. Also, the episodes are LONG. They take awhile to come out, but each one is a gem. Don't miss this podcast!

So after listening to garage hammer for over year and hearing Dave talk about " after ellanor" I decided to give it a look. My frustration at not finding any podcast named that was comical. And then i read a book and realized the word was ULLANOR. Suffice to say my discovery of this podcast has been awesome and has spurned me to create a 30k army. Stick with it guys, can't wait till you get to know no fear

As someone who has read Black Library books for over a decade and been a 40k player for equally as long, I was super excited for the Heresy. Sadly I didn't find the books anywhere near as good as I had hoped. Then I found After Ullanor and listened to David and Greg talk about the novels. I really love this podcast because they do an amazing job of making books I found unbearable interesting and exciting. The show is fun because they not only talk about the stories but they also discuss the links between the books and the wider world of Horus Heresy era. If you like the books, they offer plenty of talking points but for me, they are giving me the stories I can't read in a format that I enjoy. Keep up the great work guys!

I have enjoyed each episode and wait patiently for the next. The only reason for giving this podcast, which if you are a fan of the franchise you should be listening, four stars is for the space of time between episodes is so long. I understand both hosts have full time jobs and live in two different countries. There is always some time that can be garnered to put together an episode, even if it is piece-meal. Thank you.

Dave and Dan have great "mic-chemistry" and are both entertaining and informative. There are spoilers for each book (so if you are worried, listen after you've read each book) but for those of us that don't care they go in detail of each book - giving you the lay of the land and adding theories and analysis. Perfect podcast for painting!

I'll get it out of the way and say that I love this podcast's concept. I rather enjoy the book club feel and in depth look at the Horus Heresy books. The hosts do a great job discussing the books and pointing out things that I haven't noticed. They make a point of trying not to discuss books after the current one being discussed. The do this for those of us who haven't read all of the books and it is much appreciated.

I have been trying to find a podcast more about the stories and lore of 40k (or 30K in this case) and less about the game. Love it.

The amount of work these guys do to prepare for their show is stupendous. Great listen!

If you love the Horus Heresy novels then you will love this show

I'm a huge Horus Heresy fan and was ecstatic when I found these guys recently. They are easy to follow, hear, and relate to. I just found them recently and my only concern is the frequency with which they come out. I finished all the current episodes and I see a three month gap between a few so I hope it picks up a bit. Great listen though!

The After Ullanor podcast provides an in depth look at the Horus Heresy novels. The hosts, David and Greg, provide criticism and praise where needed and offer an excellent and detailed discussion of each book. David's "newby" status when it comes to 40K in no way diminishes from his commentary and when he isn't sure about some detail Greg is there to fill in the blanks. Thanks guys!

I love how thorough Dave and Greg are with these books. They explore multiple angles for the themes covered in the books and get into each character. Greg's wealth of experience and Dave's perpetual child-like wonder really complement each other. You really feel like it is a book club discussion, to the point where sometimes I am yelling in my car "BUT WHAT ABOUT (INSERT THEME/CHARACTER/40k LORE)?!"

If you're like me and you can't get enough horus heresy. This is for you!

This is one of my favorite podcast i burned through all the episodes in less then a week, just amazing. The innocence( in 40k) of Witek is so refreshing from someone who has played 40k for 13 years, keep it up guys!!!!!! i want to guest on an episoded =)

This a great podcast for anyone that is a fan of the Heresy books and even better for someone just getting into them. The are going in order of the books and are very careful not to spoil what happens ahead in later books. Very well porduced and well spoken hosts.

With all sincerity, I haven't found a podcast that I look forward to. I've been into 40k on and off for 15 years and these guys have driven me to be more and more interested in the fluff of the galaxy, and not just of the Heresy. Thank you and please keep it up! VERY appreciated.

Such a great show, I read all the horus heresy books but it's been years since I finished the early ones so this show is a great refresher. Lots of insightful ideas and analysis. I can't wait for you guys to get to my personal favorite A Thousand Sons.

This is the first review on iTunes I've ever been compelled to write, so forgive me if I'm over cheesy!! I really love this podcast, with all the passion in my Chaotic heart!! I've been searching for a good source for alternate opinions on this series for a long while and extremely glad that the two of you decided to put this together. I think the dynamics between David and Greg are amazing. I especially enjoy the viewpoint of David and how you're able to see all the symbolism hidden within the style of the writers. I used to think I was the only one who caught some of them! As for Greg, it's refreshing to have someone on the show with a expansive knowledge of the 40k universe. Every show has been exemplary, and I can't believe I actually listen to all 238238 hours of the show! I'm looking forward to Fulgrim, The First Heretic, and Know No Fear!! Please don't stop!

I havent been able to play 40k for years, but one of my favorite parts were the stories, the canon. I havent read any of these books, but since i found out about these and the depth they show i have to find them and read. Thank you so much for providing the spark!
