Good story line, poor narrator and personification
The story was good but the narrator sounds like he’s never heard a woman talk before and has that “I don’t know how to act but I’m trying my best” tone with everyone other than the old man and the exaggerated personification of Bill kept pulling me out of the story.

Great story line but…..
The storyline alone is 5 star worthy. Very interesting plot, multiple characters to follow along with and fall in love with. But I am deducting for two stars. One: the narrator’s voice is annoying. I get that he’s supposed to be an “old man” but it’s forced. But now I’m into the second season I’m used to it. The second and more annoying thing is the author talks for atleast 5-10 minutes after each episode. He acknowledges that this is annoying to some listeners, but still does it into season 2. Sometimes I listen for book/movie recs but most of the time I skip. It breaks up the momentum! Maybe separate the post review into another taping? Lastly, not deducting a star for this, but I wonder if I an episode was missed in season one where the two main characters meet?

Love
Just found this and am totally hooked! Love the narrator! He is perfect for the story. I’m on season 1 episode 10 and I’m so happy that I’m not near the end yet!

Story is great. But ehhh
I love this story line but I find the 10+ mins of excessive talking at the end by the author is very annoying . While it is addressed later in the seasons and blown off to just skipping it, having to do that every 15-20 mins is very obnoxious. Also there is a missing episode in season one I believe. What happened to the old man after he was knocked out? How did he meet KJ? I do wish there was some transition from one scene to another via sound like wind chimes. It blends too much.

Makes the Apocalypse Fun
I just found this podcast and I’ve enjoyed catching up on it. Protagonists are not stereotypes and plot keeps the interest up, I like creator’s talks at end of episodes about reading, sci-fi, and the craft of writing.

Great story!
I’m a HUGE fan of apocalyptic stories. I was searching for apocalyptic stories in podcasts and I found this one. I was immediately hooked! It’s exactly what I had hoped for in my search. This was early December. I binged all the way through and now I have to wait for episodes. Aahhh!! It’s worth the wait. :)

Love it…but
The narrator makes it hard to listen at times. I have to go back and listen again. Well written story though and I’ve given it five stars.

Held my attention!
I binged all the way through in a few days. I am invested in the characters which are welll fleshed out. It is enjoyable to have the mail character not be young and military minded as in soo many post op stories. Can’t wait for more!

Amazing
A timely and well told story. The voice actors are great. I can see them in my mind clearly. Loving this podcast and can’t wait for more. Needs to be a movie

I really hoped to rate 5
The story line of this podcast is really great. I binged season one over a few days & had high hopes going in. That being said, the main narration voice should never be one you cringe listening to. I get that it’s supposed to be told by “an old man” BUT a throaty moist sounding voice that’s scratchy & gruff isn’t enjoyable & definitely shouldn’t be narrator. Add in the fact the episodes are only 10-15 minutes long, it’s just not great listening unfortunately. I say that despite overall loving the story, characters, and plot. If you enjoy 10-15 min episodes (6-8 min creator talks at end) and vocal fry narration then you will love this podcast.

Exceptionally well-written and produced. A great meld of science fiction and horror.

This series is captivating!
I have enjoyed each episode of this series. I eagerly await the release of the next episode. The length of each episode makes it very accessible, and the story arc makes each episode easily flow to the next one. Bill is my favorite character and I loved seeing the events through his eyes. My heart aches for him. I highly recommend this series!

Eerie and Good!
“Flies full of human flesh”. Wow! Binged all 4 episodes and wanting more! The short format is perfect

This thing looms large
I’m two episodes in and hooked! Great imagery here and the scope of adventure looms large. The story feels almost palpable in this audio format and these ten minute bursts are like the perfect “fix”. So, if you’ve had enough of the pandemic and all the gloom and doom...oh...wait... 😳

Easy to visualize.
Written in such away to make it very easy to visualize as you’re listening. The details that add color to the script are key. Anxious to hear how this all plays out.

Short, well written, fun
I was intrigued by the idea of short bursts of stories but not completely sold. I decided to give it a listen anyway and can’t wait for the next one. It’s clear a lot of work has gone into the writing and production of this series. The very fact that in an eleven minute series I find myself attached to the main character says it all.
