Great podcast
Highly suggest listening to Megan’s podcast. She’s real and is vulnerable during many podcasts. She doesn’t just share the rainbows and sunshine. As a first time mom and autism mom she has helped tremendously. I look forward to the new episodes each week.

Sliver lining when I need it
Newly diagnosed Autism mom here. Megan has been a bright light in this overwhelming time for our family. I don’t have anyone in my life right now that knows what it is like to be a parent to young child with ASD. This podcast feels like my support group.

👍
I like that Megan has guests with kids who are older and younger, of both genders and on different parts of the spectrum. I also like that she shares about herself and her family including her son on the spectrum.

Therapeutic
I’ve been listening to Adventures in Autism for close to 2 years now and it’s been so therapeutic for me. Hearing all of the wonderful mother’s speak about their children and tell their stories helps me know that there are other people out there who are going through some of the same things we are. I love hearing about all of the wonderful kiddos. I’ve learned so much

Best podcast for autism parents/care takers
There are a lot of podcasts out there on or about autism but Megan is an autism mama and knows/understand first hand what it is like. She does well as a host. Looks at everything with an unbiased angle and I find that to be one of her best qualities as a podcaster.

Must listen for all ages and stages of Autism
This is hands down the best Autism podcast out there. It’s informative but also just feels like talking to a friend who understands what you’re going through.

Megan is a great host and this podcast was really a saving grace for me. To have a place where you can feel you aren’t doing this alone and feel supported in an online community is really special. Thank you for starting the podcast Megan and your continued dedication.

Thank you so much for this podcast!!!!!!
I am new to this journey. My son just turned 2 years old and was diagnosed this past December. He was exactly 16 months old. Honestly, I’ve been so lost. Grieving. Trying to process all this. All I know is your podcast has helped me in so many ways. Literally this is what is helping understand this and more hopeful. Thank you so much for this podcast. Seriously. I can’t say thank you enough.

Enjoy listening to your podcast!!
I randomly came across your podcast while searching for Autism and perspectives from other moms. My daughter was diagnosed during the pandemic in May 2020 as an older child. She was 8. Still fairly new to Autism, I am enjoying learning so much and meeting others who I can relate to. My daughter recently started her own social movement, Littlest Lady Cares, that spreads kindness one heart at a time. This is her way of sharing kindness after a bullying incident at school. It’s also her way to work on her social skills and friendships with others.

My go to ASD Podcast
My son was diagnosed 1.5 years ago, and I basically knew nothing about autism. This pod was and is my go to. I have learned so much! I love how Megan always “takes it back to the begging,” because that part of the story is so important as a parent as well. Her topics are great and love to feel like I am connecting to the ASD mom community when it otherwise can feel so isolating.

A must listen for Autism Moms
Thank you Megan for this amazing podcast and community! A couple weeks before my daughter was officially diagnosed I found this podcast and in about 2 months time I have binge listened to about half of the episodes so far. I have not only learned so much but I have gained new insight on Autism. I no longer feel alone and scared of my child’s future. I cannot thank Megan and the moms I have met through this podcast enough. ❤️

You changed our lives for the better. ❤️
Hi Megan. You are the reason I made “the call” to our pediatrician and I just realized that this morning! So in October 2019, I was listening to an autism podcast by Dr. Mary Barbera. There was a momma on her show talking about her sons pre-k classroom and how it was eye opening to see her son struggle more than most. That was the exact situation we were in. Our wheels had been turning for quite some time. All of our sons early intervention specialists, who we adore, really thought pre-k would help him blossom. That wasn’t the case for us. Anyway, I went back through my podcast episodes looking for the one that changed our lives and I found it. It was you talking with Mary. Back then, I listen for about 10 minutes, paused it, and called our dr. It’s a small world! I’ve been listen to you for probably nine months now without knowing it was you. I genuinely cannot way each week for the next episode! It has been therapeutic for our entire family! ❤️

Safe Space for Parents
I can’t say enough good things about this show! Megan has provided a safe space for me on some of my darkest days. This journey can be so lonely and isolating. Anytime I need a pick me up I listen to have this show and I am reminded there are so many others on this journey. I hope to make in-person friends with other parents of children on the spectrum, but during this pandemic this show has provided so much needed comfort and support!

Thank you Megan
I look forward to this podcast every Wednesday. As a mom of three children on the spectrum it can be hard to connect with others about what we experience as a family. Listening to this podcast every week feels like chatting with an old friend. I am so thankful to Megan for sharing her family’s stories and for her interviews with other parents and professionals. I would highly recommend this podcast to other autism families, their loved ones and professionals.

Amazing podcast for everyone
As an avid listener of the podcast, I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to speak on the podcast about my work with high school students on the Autism spectrum. I can certainly say Megan has helped me become a better and more compassionate speech-language pathologist by walking me through her experiences as a parent. I’m so grateful for all the learning opportunities that AIA has provided me. I would recommend this podcast to anyone, especially parents and professionals!

Like talking to a friend!
Megan is so down to earth! She tells it like it is and does so with so much positivity! There is something for everyone on her podcasts! Our children are similar in age and have similar names! It’s just like talking to an old friend! I am very partial to the episodes with her sister Melissa because they are a hoot when they get together! <3

Love this podcast
I had the privilege in speaking with Megann regarding my own personal journey with autism, just last year taking co- guardianship of my adult cousin who is 53 years old. Megann made the interview so relaxed and so warming that I felt like I was speaking to an old friend. I would highly recommend listening to her and all of her guests and journeys.

Calming voice talking about real life autism
I received my sons diagnosis over a year ago now but we are still early in our adventure with Autism. This podcast is a soothing listen for me. Megan’s voice even when discussing difficult emotions and topics still soothes me! I messaged her to tell her that I have to be careful when I listen to her podcast I’m the evening because her voice makes me drift off to sleep (and I have a hard time winding down at night). Give it a listen, she has such a positive outlook on learning and doing better everyday in her own adventure with her son.

Therapeutic
Megan has a real way of bring autism parent together. Just like no autistic child is the same neither are the parents that raise them. It’s amazing to hear different people come together and be able to relate to each other on a deeper level. Megan does a great job of asking great questions and keeping the topics entertaining and informative. This is a great podcast for any parent but especially for parents with autistic children.

Comfort and wisdom
Thank you Megan for producing such a resource for parents like me who are at the beginning of a long and uncharted journey. My daughter received a level 2 Autism diagnosis this past Friday, the day before her second birthday. My grief has been tremendous and your voice has allowed me to find moments of hope and levity while processing that grief. Thanks a million!
