Who Then Can Be Saved?
Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Luk 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Luk 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. Luk 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Luk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. Luk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. Luk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Luk 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Luk 18:26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? Luk 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Luk 18:28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. Luk 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Luk 18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Behold Your God #48
This sermon explores the Seventh Commandment, "You shall not commit adultery," by examining its statement, extent, and theological basis. The speaker argues that the commandment upholds the sanctity of marriage as a creation ordinance and a binding covenant agreement between one man and one woman. It extends beyond physical acts to include lustful attitudes, reflecting God's concern for the purity of the heart. Furthermore, the sermon posits that human marriage serves as a profound picture of the ultimate eschatological union between Christ and His Church. The central message emphasizes that preserving marital fidelity is essential because it honors God's original design and reflects the glorious future redemption of believers.

2 Sam # 7 Uriah the Hittite 2 Sam 11 vs 6-13
Gospel Instalment: 08-09-2026 Sermon Title: 1. Uriah the Hittite. 2. The faithfulness of the Law Text: 2Samuel 11 vs 6-13 1. We continue with the gospel testimony from the story of David, Bathsheba and Uriah. 2. And it is impossible to make sense of the story unless read through gospel lenses. 3. Thus, it is important to identify and define the individuals involved and how they relate or are mapped to the gospel testimony. 4. The gospel has Christ, the Law and the church as pillars and this testimony is well represented in this story. 5. With a gospel hermeneutic (way of interpretation) you will see that the theology in Romans is the same as that which is presented in this story. 6. But you will not see it if you are bend on moralizing the story and think that it is about adultery and murder. 7. It is a Berean gospel, and it is Free!

Sin put away
The sermon examines King David's grave sins of adultery and murder to illustrate the profound nature of divine grace and human depravity. It emphasizes that even eminent believers are susceptible to sin due to their fallen nature, necessitating a constant reliance on God's mercy rather than self-righteousness. The narrative highlights the role of the prophet Nathan in convicting David, demonstrating that God faithfully intervenes to restore those who genuinely confess their transgressions. Furthermore, the message warns against the severe consequences of sin on individuals and communities while affirming that God's faithfulness ultimately overrules evil for good. The central call is for listeners to acknowledge their own weakness, seek immediate forgiveness through Christ, and trust in God's unmerited favor.

Restored Joy Of Salvation
The sermon explores the nature of Christian joy, distinguishing it from temporary happiness by rooting it in the eternal reality of salvation. Using David's life as a primary example, the message illustrates how believers can lose their joy through spiritual drift, pride, and unconfessed sin, specifically referencing his downfall with Bathsheba. It emphasizes that while salvation is secure, the experiential joy of the Lord is fragile and requires a consecrated walk with God. The preacher urges listeners to examine their hearts for any hindrances to fellowship and to return to God through sincere repentance and confession. Ultimately, the text affirms that true joy is restored when one acknowledges sin against God and relies on His faithful forgiveness.
