This podcast will make you cry, make you laugh and hopefully lift the stigma that still exists today about adoption! Hosted by former adoption counselor, Jeanne Reisig who will answer questions from her audience, interview special guests including experts in the industry and families who have been touched by adoption. It’s time to paint a broader, more detailed image of adoption. This podcast is intended to heighten awareness for all members of the adoption triad: birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents. Additionally, it’s intended to benefit adoption professionals, siblings(adoptive and birth), members of the general public, and state legislators who address adoption statutes. It is Jeanne’s hope to eliminate stereotypes that are held about birth parents, adoptees, and adoption by laymen and professionals in the field who still hold some of the old beliefs that fear, mystery, and secrecy are the best course for adoption.
