Episode 62: How I Got 16 Interviews in Pediatrics as an IMG

He is a practicing physician in Trinidad and a graduate of the University of the West Indies, now focusing on NICU before the start of his U.S. medical residency and of course a lifetime ACMedical member.   After finding ACMedical through YouTube, Dr. Satnarine sought mentorship from Dr. Mizani and listened to his advice which was: apply to only one specialty (Pediatrics) and to have recent relevant U.S. Clinical Experience. Not only did this slight but significant move help him secure 16 interviews but he Matched into his #1 residency program on his 2022 NRMP Rank Order List - all without setting foot in the United States!   In our previous episode, he shares his overall Match experience and his 5 online clinical rotations while simultaneously working as House Officer in a NICU Department in Trinidad. Episode 61: How I Matched into Pediatrics after 5 Online Rotations

He also tells us his overall LOCE experience including his role as an online clinical rotator, tips on making a good impression with the attending physicians, what it was like observing and the patient interaction involved.
