// The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

-2 // If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

-8 // Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

// Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

-5 // It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking

-5 // Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

-7 // Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

// Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

// Love never fails.

// Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
