At just 29, Fabi Powell lost her Army Ranger husband, Josh to Synovial Sarcoma cancer. She started the Josh Powell Foundation in his honor to help encourage newly diagnosed patients and fulfill wishes of those running out of time. At 33, she started IVF to have her late husband's baby. Grace Hackett is the Director of Engagement for Love One International - a global nonprofit centered in Tennessee that is saving the lives of babies and children in Uganda who are critically ill. It is not the goal for these children to be adopted to families outside of Uganda, but rather to treat them and come up with a resettlement plan, so they are able to return to their families once they are healthy. Kennith Allen Thomas – otherwise known as the “dancing dad” – took the internet by storm with his daily father-son dancing videos from his son’s hospital room. His young son, Kristian was diagnosed with leukemia and was also born with down syndrome. In the now-viral video called “When your son is cancer–free” Kenny and Kristian can be seen dancing outside of their home in matching flannels, jeans and smiles spreading from ear to ear. That video received millions of views and hundreds of thousands of comments from across the world.  A happy update to report - Kristian is a cancer survivor and has officially been declared cancer free!  Kenny owned a New Jersey dance studio called Level Dance Complex and continues to dance. He is also a motivational speaker and extremely passionate about his faith.
