Are you utterly dependent on God? Do the choices you make in life reflect Him well?   Today we reflect on these thoughts -  to call up the Church to stop settling for feel-good consumerism in our culture’s idea of what church is, and instead, trading it in for utter dependence on Jesus in everything.  Because once we realize the cross was also a symbol of His wrath (God) on His perfect Son (Jesus) against OUR sins (mankind), we realize total and entire dependence on Him is all we can do - and apart from Him, our souls are tragically sick and broken.  Jesus never expects perfection - but He promises transformation in us.

How do we process death? Today we talk about dealing with loss - more specifically, loss through death, and starting the process of grieving when the insurmountable grief of losing someone you know and love is overwhelming.

Today we learn the difference between empathy and sympathy - and how to love our neighbors well by learning to first become safe people ourselves who listen well.
