A Play On Parenting
Aura Bakker
Conversations between you—the parents, about your lives with your kids and what creative challenges you face, and me—Aura, parent and kid educator. I offer games to play that will empower and enable growth, connection, resilience, happy discipline, calm, enjoyment, balance, fun (because fun is important), and sanity for you and your kiddos—a new way to play!
Lightening the Mood & Hitting Reset
In this fabulous episode, I talk to Justine about her life with her 3 kiddos. A long-term goal of hers has been to go to nursing school. She is finally doing it, and that transition is causing some stress in the family and among her 3 kids. They are finding it hard to get along. We talk about playful ways to lighten the mood and to get them to help out in this transition–actively participate in the transition instead of just suffering the results of mom having less time. Enjoy!

Dealing with Fear
After last week's episode, Nia and I got to talking and realized we had to record another episode. They live in Germany, and on the way to Ella's daycare, they saw a bunch of refugees standing in line from Ukraine. This sparked a lot of fear in Ella and the other kids at the daycare. Don't miss out on this important topic of dealing with fear!

The Closed Fist vs. The Open Hand
Another awesome conversation with mama Jen about her son Wyatt and how we can learn to be an "open hand" vs. a "closed fist", a really great metaphor for being in a happy and open disposition rather than closed off from love, happiness, and relations.
