Would you like a cup of tea? No? Well how about a story full of dread, terror, and growing sense of unease? Excellent, that’s just what’s in store for you. One of these characters is full of snake oil, another is as fluffy as a bunny who needs a hug. And one is a viper waiting in the grass for you. Take a look with us as we discuss if they go far enough in the movie to capture the creep-factor found in the book.

Our Drinking Game for this Story

Take a drink:

  • Every time someone says “Merricat”
  • Every time Merricat reminders herself to be nice to Uncle Julian
  • Every time Merricat practices her magic
  • Every time Constance laughs nervously
  • Finish the drink when you hear The Chant:

Merricat, said Connie, would you like a cup of tea?

Oh no, said Merricat, you’ll poison me.

Merricat, said Connie, would you like to go to sleep?

Down in the boneyard ten feet deep!
