Our first listener request! Back with another ghost story, but in my very own backyard. One of the only documented hauntings in the city of Moreno Valley, California takes place in a suburban home. Poltergeists cause mayhem in the lives of the people it torments and this one tore a family apart. Videotapes, photographs and personal accounts all explain what happened in this home and how this nightmare may have tormented everybody on their street.

Let's look at the history of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Between the years 1864 and 1994, the grounds of this institution saw unspeakable conditions that put patients through hell; if only the walls could speak. But if you bring the right equipment (say a Ouija board), you might be able to just ask the ghosts yourself. I think they'd agree with me when I say the street they lived on, was a nightmare.

Today you and I are going to go through the case of Steven Brian Pennell aka The Route 40 Killer. Let's look at this case from the perspective of law enforcement as they developed a man hunt for the only known serial killer in the state of Delaware. He murdered women along Route 40 in the tiny town of New Castle while simultaneously keeping up appearances in front of his wife and children, and he definitely caused a nightmare on their street.

This is a man who hunted sex workers in my hometown back in the 1980's, but he isn't a well known serial killer, even to the people from this county. A Riverside County employee, first place chili cook-off winner, and a really sh*tty father.
